This Pruis was in an accident ( front end fender bender) about 2 years ago. Everything was fine( after fixing a few minor things). Fast forward to this week... We noticed one of the radiator fan stopped working due to a cracked plastic frame holding the fan. We had to remove the fan case and the radiator to work on the fan and put it back and no problems- until today. 1) The VSC light came on. Is this something that happens when doing the work I did, or is it a co-incidence? I know I did not touch anything else. Just what is in front of the engine. what would cause the VSC light to come on when working around the FRONT of the engine? like what kind of thing could I have pulled loose? 2) I noticed the pink fluid that was in the reservoir in the back of the engine is empty. How did this happen? I am pretty sure it was 1/2 full when I was working on the car. Is this fluid separate from the coolant that is in the reservoir next to the radiator?
Yes, separate. Same Toyota SLLC coolant, on different circuits that share the same radiator. Fill up the inverter reservoir with SLLC. Use an OBD2 device to retrieve any thrown codes, then you'll know if it was only the inverter overheating or something else.
