Hi everyone new prime owner loving it. Came across these Enkei wheels at 5x100 pattern for cheap just wondering if they would fit our prime. I’ve searched and only seen 8.5 but not 9.5. Thanks

    No.

Having said that,..... if you have enough time & money I guess almost anything is possible when talking cars.

How about these rob? 17x7.5 +48 wrapped in 225/45/17. I’ve searched and got mixed answers with the frs stock wheels being the same size but not fitting without a spacer. But other afterMarket wheels do fit[IMG]

From a Performance / Handling standpoint, a 17x7.5" & 225/45-17 works quite well, steering response will feel sharp.

Tire: a 225/45-17 is a very good choice because of its exact 25.0" diameter, plus it's also a great choice for a
    7.5" wide wheel.

Wheel: a 17x7.5", 5x100 normally works well. My only concern is your +48 ET, this moves the tire/wheel closer
to the strut by roughly 21mm's with this setup. You "might" need a 3 or 5mm spacer to move the tire/wheel away from the strut.

Yes I ended up buying Tony’s wedssport sa55M. 18x8 +45. I ordered some 5mm spacers to bring them out a little cause it looks a little sucked in.

As for tires I might go 215/45 or maybe 225/45. I plan to lower it with just springs or maybe keep it stock height since it doesnt look too bad. any thoughts?

    For a 18x8" you want either a 215/40-18 (24.8") or a 225/40-18 (25.1"), give a lot of consideration to the General
G-Max AS-05. Assess your lowering needs after you've had your new wheels & tires for a week or two.

The 45 wouldn’t cover the GAp area more if I decide not to lower it?

    Sure...

But if you're using that logic, why not just go nuts & go to a 50+ series tire.

Point is this: You Need To Stay At ~25.0" Inches Overall Diameter.

old post but I think it would fit. rear of a gen 3 can handle 18x9.5 +43 (streched tire and rolled fender) and I imagine 3mm less offset might stick out a tiny pic but it's doable. This is amusing the gen 4 handles can handle the same specs

That's the epitome of Not Fitting....

The moment someone is forced to run a smaller undersized tire (typically not as safe) and then needs to get a rolled fender (more expense), this means it doesn't fit properly.

I didn't know you were only recommending tire rack conservative "normal" people set ups.

Pictured above are the following specs:

    F: 19x9J +43mm

    R: 19x9J +38mm

a by 9.5 +43 is the same as a x9 +38 (as shown on the rear) I'm pretty sure if the original poster was considering that wheel he realizes it's semi aggressive. From the looks of it it's not even much of a streach (225 or even 235 or so being the barrel lips aren't even exposed)

Look if you're into rubbing, then go for it !

But face the fact's of your supplied pic, the moment any passengers are put into that car it's gonna rub, nobody likes an ill working chassis that rubs.

I don't even own a 4th gen. I'm just stating that one can go much more aggressive if they want. With the right suspension, tire set up, fender roll etc there won't be any rubbing. Of course that's a much more advanced set up then the plug and play conservative specs you are recommending or i'm sure the typical prius own would even want to go thru.

Just another example of a more agressive set up

    FRONT
    19×8.5J INSET 33(LO) 18mm SPACER INSERT
    REAR
    19×9.5J INSET 31(LO)

Just like I said in post #2; "if you have enough time & money I guess almost anything is possible".

Having said that, who wants to be forced to run the ridiculous amount of rear negative camber that's clearly visible
    in both of your pics.

I'd guess that the rear camber on either of these cars is somewhere/roughly at ~neg 4 degrees, this creates all kinds
    of new issues.

Maybe it's the interwebs fault, but the first & second chassis looks like added neg. camber.
