Even though the dealers are loaded with them around here, I've seen maybe three of them. Teslas, at least one a day.
At the rate Tesla’s Batteries keep exploding, I wonder how long the company may actually stay afloat. Their manufacturing ability is woefully deficient thus far.
Wow... I think they're closing in on me. Enjoying a few days in Montreal, Mrs. Bear and I decided to brave the long line waiting to get into the world-famous Schwartz's Deli for a chance to experience one of their legendary smoked-meat sandwiches. So, while where standing outside at mid-day, a hypersonic red Prime pulls up to the curb on Boulevard St Laurent to let out several hungry looking passengers. Being a good American tourist, I had my camera in my hand and was able to quickly snap this photo before the Canadian Prime drove away: And, yes, the sandwich was well worth the long wait.
Mmm Schwartz's... Oh right, Prime. If you're meat eaters and want a treat, Gibby's in Old Montréal is a great place for steaks (reservations required and leave the car at the hotel as parking is limited). Oh and drop by Poutineville. It's a chain but they have really good poutine.
Sorry but Primes are SO common here in Socal; 3 or 4 just about every day. Even more COMMON are all the Teslas, especially in high roller South Orange County. Have not seen a single '60s Alfa Romeo in months and months, although once in a while you'll catch a new Giulia. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app. AChoiredTaste.com
I concur, sir. The Prime's are getting thick as bugs on a bumper in SoCal. I rarely see a regular Gen4 Prius anymore. And everyday it seems like I see 3 or 4 of those big sleek 100K Teslas!
Saw a white Prime on I-10 at 610W around 4:45pm on Friday. No roof racks like before, side molding. 5 known in Houston so far, strangely few for such a large city. Though Gulf States Toyota explains a lot...
My one year Prime anniversary is this week. Still yet to see any other prime in the wild. Perhaps someone needs to arrange an intervention.
Hey just enjoy the fact that your car is so unique! Now if I could just get an FR-S or a BRZ with a Prius Prime drivetrain, I would be one heck of a happy camper. The weight loss (I hope) should make a big difference! Then I could be unique again! Posted via the PriusChat mobile app. AChoiredTaste.com
I saw my first one in Nashville this morning - in the rear view mirror while I was waiting at light. I wasn't paying attention as it drove right past me. Lots of LEAFs in town with Nissan's North American HQ just down the road in Franklin.
Driving on I93 into Boston last week, I was expecting to sight PRIME in action, but instead I saw at least FIVE Porsche SUV. That was the first time I saw them and my first impression was "BOY, they are ugly." LOL
I had to look it up to see what Mercedes G-Wagons looks like. Kinda look in between, Jeep Wrangler and Honda Element. They can't be very aerodynamic.
Or cheap. The guy that moderated one of the 4Runner forums owned one and wanted me to give him 5 days of trails to run in the Ouray, CO area because he wanted to take his new G-Wagon there. He was nuts, but I gave him an easy itinerary, nothing hard. Tiny tires, low clearance, and 6 months of whining after the trip. He sold it later on.
Only SUV I ever had was 92 2door Pathfinder. Back then, SUV was truly for SPORTS and then some Utility next. Nowaday, SUV is nothing but glorified station wagon, IMO. Not that I can afford Porsche or Mercedes SUVs, even if I did, I would not want to take the vehicle off road for sports ride.
