Anyone else notice this on their car? It’s along both side edges of my windshield. Original glass on my 2010.
I’ve noticed a little on our 2010, but not to the level you are showing there. Could it be the salt from winter having that effect?
Yes. I feel your disappointment. I have the same condition on the edges of my windshield on my original owner 2011 Prius with 187,000 miles. I live in an extremely hot area and always place my sunscreen inside the windshield before going into work. Hope that extra reflection and heat didn't cause it. However, I wax the paint and it looks great. I'm waiting for a big rock to hit the windshield and get a new one. It's also pitted and you really see it in the evening headed West into the sun.
Windshields are covered by many car insurance companies, in case a big rock comes out of nowhere and breaks it
Yeah, I have glass coverage on all my cars, I think it's $50 out of pocket. I guess I'll need to start "drafting" some gravel trucks.
LOL, make sure it doesn't ding your hood Washing your car on a reallllly hot day usually will do it, any nick on the windshield will crack instantly
I don't know that I've ever had a windshield last 8 years before, I've usually take a rock by know. Probably a testament to the car's shape.
