How about an engine from a wreck? Ever consider a short block from one of the years with the fixed parts?

Anyone experience excessive oil consumption can contact Toyota Customer Experience Center at: 1-800-331-4331

Once they can identify that enough owners are experiencing this problem, they will issue a 150k mile / 10 year warranty and they will cover the cost of the replacement. You can also open up this issue with your local dealer. They will make this an issue if enough people make it an issue.

IIRC, the first two years were the ones that were potentially bad. So after that ...

And any wrecking yard will have online access to local yards that may have one and they can get you quotes. Online a search at car-part.com found a low mileage 47k 2014 for ~$1850 in Ohio.

So...i’ve Been checking my oil at every fill up and here’s where it is today...after I took it to the dealer on 6/28 the level was in the area I circled in grey...and i’ve driven about 600 Miles since 6/28

Thats a lot of oil burned in 600 miles. Thats very bad. Be careful, add oil often.

That's serious burning. I'd bring this up to the dealer as early as possible. Make sure it's documented so that you can also bring it up with Toyota. You may be granted a warranty extension in your case. Driving it any further w/o adding oil will risk engine damage. It's possible some type of damage already occurred to create this much loss of oil.

Even having the dealer do an oil burning test at 1000 mile interval is risky. They should see how much loss took place at 600 miles. During the test they will seal your engine cap and you won't add oil during the test, but you can monitor it and bring it back in before it goes too low.

Would the dipstick have a seal* too? I mean: there are devices to siphon oil out through dipstick tube.

    * Not tight seal, just security seal.

No seal on dipstick from my experience. Ask dealer to confirm. It would be too risky to let it dry out too much. Even if light came on, the rate it's going is too risky.
