Is it safe to buy a used/salvage brake actuator for my 2007 with 107k miles? I'm so nervous and have no idea where to start? Any tips? Things to look out for? Where should I buy from?? Please help.
Some questions: Where in California are you located? What are your main concerns? Have you priced options yet? Checked at the local salvage yards, eBay, etc? Will you be buying and installing yourself, or then giving the unit to a mechanic to install? Good luck and keep us posted .
- I'm in Sacramento, California - My main concern is spending $$ on a used one and then it turning out to be a dud or only lasting a couple years, etc. - I haven't priced anything or looked anywhere yet. I'm brand new to this lol. - I'll be having a mechanic install it.
Sacramento, eh? I’d look just east of you in Rancho Cordova a long Recycle Road as there are 2 Toyota salvage yards there. Might even be a decent mechanic around there as well. I’ve been to TLS there before and they have plenty of inventory . Good luck and keep us posted .
