I drove my gen3 prius in a flood recently and I when I went thru a low spot in the flood i clearly heard water rushing in and bubling in somewhere. Now when the engine is off and I brake hard I can clearly hear water somewhere in the back seat area slooshing around. Where could that water be? It sounds like a lot of water
Having not been there, I hope the situation warranted it. A Prius and driving through a flooded area just don't go together, but situations happen. Glad to hear it's still driving normally, just water logged. Are your floorboards wet? If not, I would suspect the water is in the trunk area on the outside edges and maybe even in the spare tire well. The outer edges of your trunk have vents in them. The vents are typically just lightweight rubber flaps designed to allow air flow to go only one direction, but there's no guarantee how they would handle water.
The spare tire and floors are dry. I suspect it's underneath the floor board. How do I get under the floor boards?
I've definitely never heard this water noise before. If the carpets were wet where could the pool of water be?
Might be in the big box the HV battery is in?????? I'd take it to somebody who's really up on the Prius.
