retirement. i'm only driving 6-8,000 a year now, (not counting the annual trek to florida in my wife hycam) but that's where the 12-15 miles of ev range really come in handy.

are you at 6,000 miles in two years?

10,000 a year is fairly average, no problems with the car.
but your o/p is confusing. you rotated the tires how many times and at what miles?

What a coincidence, I was right near Disney when you posted your comment. Look at these gas prices, are they nuts? I also got a little video of the Disney monorail, but it won't post here for some reason. Thanks for the kind words.

Now I am looking for those churro's. :D

    bisco,
The Toyo OEM tires that came with the car seemed like they would lose traction so easily. I spun the front wheels a dozen times without even trying. This hybrid has a lot of torque! (rookie driver.)

So I traded in the Toyo tires after only about 12,000 miles, for the new Michelin premier's. (they were on sale and also offered a rebate.)

First rotation for the Premiers was at about 18,500 ODO miles? So that means I drove about 6500 miles on the Premiers and then did the first rotation.

Then during the following 1000 miles, I went deaf. :ROFLMAO::confused: Just had them rotated a second and third time, to get everything back to normal. Confusing, I know. But that's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;)

It's 82° right now, and I just finished a 50 mile drive. The tires seem a bit quieter in this heat. I'm almost ready to buy some gas. How exciting! I will post a picture of my mileage.

No where near the Bob Wilson territory, but 600 miles would be a milestone for me. I got at least 2 gallons left? With the reserve.(The indicator says 49 miles left to the pump.) I don't intend to run it dry. 600 miles is my extreme limit. Great car.

We've had 5 or 6 brush fires already. Fortunately they were fairly small ones. The one yesterday was in Beverly Hills, right near all those mansions. It's not even fire season yet. I'm afraid some nuts are out there starting brush fires already.

Hi RCO. I don't think I ever asked you, are you in England? The UK? Nice looking red Prius.
Someday I might drive up to Canada, and surprise "The Technician", Mendel. Maybe he would be kind enough to teach me how to change my Oil. :D

    That's a good idea.
But didn't you say that there were a LOT of reports of noise and fast wear on that particular model of tire ??

Quite a few negative reviews on those tire websites. Mostly regarding fast wear. But how many of those comments are true? Anybody's guess. The Premier is rated at 60K treadlife? And the Defender 90K? That seems like a stretch. I'd be happy if I got 40K.

    Bring ‘em all:).

Maybe we could make @bisco envious enough that he finally convinces Mrs. Bisco to make a trek out(y).
