Bypassing with new lines, always keep oem. They’re expensive.

I just didn't know if installation required cutting of any existing lines, cool thank you. Please make a video on installation! Your videos are always so helpful and clear.

I think most of us have cutted the original PCV tube.
I bought extra tube what i cutted and saved the original.

You could just put a barb splice in, to restore the original if cut. I snapped and bought a spare, it was a lot for such a small item though, $26 up here.

You can avoid cutting that hose, but the one wrinkle is that it flares out at the intake manifold: I finally caved and cut it for this reason: it seemed the easiest way.

One week of oil in the catch can. I'm glad I decided to do this, because that is WAY too much oil! The manifold was coated when I cleaned it out.

I'll be pulling it off again this weekend to fix that kinked hose :( IMG_20180509_172202520_HDR.jpg IMG_20180509_172205760.jpg IMG_20180509_172055990_HDR.jpg

Black rubber fuel line, spec SAE-30R7 or SAE-30R6 is good. Readily available at automotive specialty stores, about $1.50 per foot.

Hey, just wondering if any of you OCC installers notice a slight odor coming from your OCC installation area.

Situation: My prius is garaged and when entered, can detect a slight odor that smells like the substance the OCC collects. The odor is strongest around the OCC housing itself. Maybe it's the flex hoses emitting the odor? There are no leaks. I have the Ruien OCC.

    Thanks for any advice.:(

    My OCC installation.

I do smell the odor you described, I am guessing either from the dipstick seal or the big top bolt, as I recall, the top bolt that replaces the air vent didnt have an o-ring. Didn't really bother with it though, maybe I should find the leak and fix it. Let's see if others have similar situations.

Interesting...what is that? It looks too clear to be oil unless you just changed it.

Mixture of oil and some water/gas mix? I drained some similar, and 6 months later it looked like this:

JDZILL, I’d do the OCC mod in a heart beat, except for the concern come smog check time. Can you imagine a Prius not passing smog test?!

Yes, very good pricing, although compare with what you can get at Walmart. (That’s where I usually buy Mobil oil).

Smells fuel and there is clearly water what does not "mix" in. Little oil bringing that brownish color. Thats what my Auris/Corolla with gen3 tech cooks some soup:)

Temps here around currently morning +6C and day +16C.

    Hello guys,
Please forgive me borrowing some of your pictures and taking few beers while i done this :)
Really do not know if this helps anyone, but i'll be happy if even one person finds this useful and helps her/him somehow.

I gathered some OCC info to one document.
