Not sure what the right words to discribe it so here's a pic. Start the car up sometimesit looks like this. It'll go away after awhile. Can't find anything about why it's doing this.
Someone else is posting here with a similar issue, though it might be a second gen. The screen has overly saturated, gas-on-water look. It's really hard to search here right now, site acting up, maybe later.
Ive seen this gas on water effect on LCD's at my previous job. Fix was replace the LCD panel (not touchscreen that was separate) Hate to say it but i think the actual LCD is dying. (rare but it happens)
Adjustments to contrast and brightness do not change it when it's blown out white. They do have an effect when the screen goes back intermittently to normal.
