Also, @civicdriver06 if we were comparing the most efficient Camry at 51/53/52mpg, then we should compare the Prius Eco at 58/53/56 mpg. The Prius is better in the city and the Camry is better on the highway.

The Camry SE/XLE drops to 44/47/46 while the regular Prius is 54/50/52.

Note that the 2017 Camry Hybrid was rated at 40mpg combined. The latest one is the 2018 Camry Hybrid.

That Japanese colour on the right is supposed to help the car stay at a cooler temperature too

Toyota's weird, bright green Prius uses science to stay cooler in the sun - The Verge.

Is that a different engine in 2018? Local report just said it was reworked "combined-cycle fuel use is 4.5L/100km (down 0.7L/100km)".

    - there were almost no records for 2018 Camry in Fuelly.

Believe it or not - it's GREEN according to TOYOTA - "Thermo-Tect Lime Green"

I reckon Australia would be a great place to release it - or Arizona.

I've had 3 yellow cars - admittedly, they faded quicker than others I had, but I never lost it in a carpark.

2018 Camry Hybrid is Gen 4 with a larger engine than the Prius IIRC The US Hybrid Camry LE is rated the same mileage as the Prius.

That's odd - here our new CAMRY is rated at 4.5l/100km, PRIUS is 3.4 l/100km. [53 USMPG to 69 MPG]

It's actually worse than that, as CAMRY demands Premium Fuel which is 11% dearer - so effectively pushes the l/100 to 4.95 on a $$$ basis [47.5 USMPG], as PRIUS only needs standard unleaded fuel.

On the LE they use lighter steel wheels and a lighter Li-Ion battery. The Canadian LE has alloy wheels and a lower mpg. The higher trim HyCams have the Ni-MH battery and alloy wheels.

Yes. It has a new "Dynamic Force" 2.5 litre engine. Similar displacement but different technology.

I know he's talking about the 2.0 litre but the technology is the same.

Still quite new, and any you see will most likely be winter only.

I put it in FHOP because it was a rumor more than a reality. Sorry if that was a major faux pas, everyone!

its probably cause chrome just auto translates it wihout like... checking if words r in the right place and stuff. Same happens when u translate norwegian to english lol, words sometimes switch places which makes it weird or the translator dont actually find the right word for the translate. So chrome might have just done one of those mistakes.

Now that Toyota is ready to admit they screwed the design, I hope Japan HQ is now more sensitive to international tastes. The Japanese market does seems to love this design, so perhaps they can have a separate design for overseas buyers and give the Japanese design as an option for the international niche who might dig it. I'm not talking major differences... just head/rear lights and front/rear bumper options.

For this gen I agree, it's so bad even the Prime barely passes with vestiges of ugly on its side creases lol.

But for future Gens, they could do a middle of the road design flexible enough to be tweaked for conventional or overboard design. Same way honda is tweaking civic into insight version.... or come to think of it even Hondas to Acura, Toyotas into Scion or Lexus, Nissans to....etc
