The information is from a Japanese car magazine. Pictures are at the link below.

How will the Prius look with the new changes?

The front headlights return to a more traditional shape that contains a single Bi beam head lamp and a small triangular turn signal.

The garnish at both ends of the bumper was also renewed, changing to a portrait shape similar to the Prime. The brake lights curve under the split window and form a C shape. The entire tail light assembly is a little more than the height of the split window.

You mean the current one, or your current one? I'm with you on the latter.

I love my Gen 4 just as much as my Gen 2. My first car was a Saab 900S, so I'm used to people dissing my automotive taste.

the current one. just saying i like it better than the new look in the link. hopefully, in 2022, they will remove some of the excess baggage and smith out the transition from the hood to the windshield profile.

It'd be nice to see some interior shots, or maybe not.

Just curious: is there some technical reason the beltline has to slope up, front-to-rear, at around 10~15 degrees?

thanks, that is a steep slope. don't know if it is styling, aero, something else, or a combination.

does it make it look faster?

maybe it reduces the similarity to gen 3 in the rear.

It's a little less due to perspective, but a good 10 degrees...., the rolling doorstop look. (y)

There seems to be a compulsion on the part of the designers, to pinch everything into sharp pointy ends.

after a hundred years, they're running out of ideas. every time i see someone say, 'that's an attractive car', i feel like it is because it's just recycled from the past. and that's fine, but designers have to justify their existence. have you seen project runway?

The purple one is the mockup/prototype. The yellow green one is the current model.

This picture is not the refresh/mockup.

The mockup has only a single lens headlight. This picture has a 3 lens headlight, same as the current model.

Slanted beltlines with big back ends seem to be the current trend.

I like the new one. It has muted some of the stand outness of the current design. You can't expect much from a refresh.

This is what the rear of the 2019 refresh is believed to look like:

This is what the Prius looks like as sold in Japan today from the front. I think there's been previous discussion on PC about how the headlights wouldn't meet NHTSA standards. The back of the car looks the same as the North American version.
