Couldn't get the noises to show themselves when I went to a dealer, almost sounds like something needed a good greasing... Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I just notice a creakiness on occasion when climbing my driveway's steep incline, but that's nothing new.
I bought my 2012 Prius C Three new and just turned over 152,000 miles. The only problem I’ve had is that I’ve had to replace the back passenger side wheel bearing and I’ve had to replace each of my automatic door locks 4 times (and 2 need replaced again). Has anybody else had trouble with the auto door locks? The warranty covered them for a while but now the dealership wants $400 each to fix them.
The door locks are a pretty common issue. I did the passenger side myself at 65k, now at 88k my drivers side just went out. I'm replacing it next weekend. There's a thread on here where you can buy the part for under $35. Around 55k, I had to replace the squirt nozzles for both the front and rear wiper squirters, but that was under warranty. I hope to not have to do that again...
I don't know for certain if he owned it since new, but I believe he has. I do know he hasn't replaced the battery. He just created a post about his windshield wipers doing something weird and he stated it was his first issue with the car.
May 5 2018 118km trip 3.1L/100km using this website 50km/h-60km/h or 30mph-40mph a city road from Scarborough to Bowmanville on old hyw 2 and back I love my 2012 Prius C because it just gets better with age
I just got my Prius C today (2016, purchased used). Only 22,000 miles on the odometer. My daughter bought hers new in Spring 2012, and it now has just over 150,000 on the odometer. Nothing thus far but maintenance and tires. She's very pleased with her little Prius (and I told her to buy it!).
If all goes to the plan, Lil Mila should hit 99,999 miles after 3.5 years in service (Fuelly somehow is missing records for about 7K mi … not sure why). These days Lil Mila is picking perhaps around 20K miles (32 megameters) a year; used to be over 40K mi/year.
Coming up on 78k with my 2012 [4]. Not much to report. Will need my annual oil change next month. May need to get a 12 volt battery one of these days. SM-G960U ?
I bought mine second hand. They're imported from Japan, so they have done a fair bit. And yeah, the importers always turn back the odometer. No idea if the folks in Japan do it as well, but, y'know, what can you do? The car's odometer said it'd done just under 50,000 km when we bought it (it went over last week), but the auction sheet said it'd actually done 80,000 km. Oh well. Still less than the magic 100,000 km, which is where cars start losing their value in this country.
I have a really nice 2016 Prius 3. One day away from 100,000 miles. I need at least 300,000 out of this baby. This is my 3rd Prius 2 previous were Prius 2’s. Love these cars.
The 2019 Rav4 Hybrid is tempting but don't want to spend the money. I'm at 108k only and with the reliability mods I have done, it should last 500k miles.
2012 C, bought new. 296 000 km=185 000 ish miles. Done nothing but oil changes every 8 000 km. Still have around 60% original brakes. This little thing is a beast in the snow with proper winter tires.
I wanted to drop by and say hi. For those that don't know me or are familiar with the Lexus CT 200h, it is essentially a Corolla hatchback with a 3rd gen Prius powertrain. I am now at 520k miles.
What's a prolong? Also, I wanted to apologize because I forgot this is a Prius C forum, not a 3rd gen Prius forum like I thought, so my post is irrelevant. My Prius C is probably still around 150k right now (my mom's using it and she's retired so not that much driving).
