Welcome to PriusChat! I would look around for a piece of black cloth (velvet?) large enough to make a cover/mat thingy to place over the top of the dashboard, but being black will tend to get rather hot, particularly in the sun, so I would suggest a sunscreen for the windshield might be in order. I have one of these for my 2009 Gen II, I'm sure there's one for your "C" too.

Black shouldn’t be a problem woth heat with San Francisco as a location .

@sfemet i have seen some Prii out here with the dash mat covers. Never seen a 2 tone one though.

lol thanks for the chuckles. not much to contribute here, other than stay away from vinyl. as a professional installer, matte finished vinyl, which would work for what you want, doesn't stick very well to our interior textures.

which is unfortunate since our black/grey interiors are so ugly!!

 

I went with CoverKing for mine for glare reduction reasons too. Pic wasn't intending to show the dash, but it gives an idea of what their stuff looks like. Since they custom make each one to order, I'm thinking they can make yours cut off where you want it.

 

Looks great! (…custom made & v. expensive!) …all you need is a little model kitty-cat on the dash, "kneading" that plush surface (…as they are wont to do!)
