65 % all the way around, except front. Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 6 inches of the windshield.

20% rear hatch and rear doors, 35% front doors, 60% front windshield. Huper-Optik Ceramic tinting, $800. The ceramic tints make a huge difference in heat passing through into the vehicle. It allows me to run my A/C at very conservative settings, thus keeping the mileage up.

    Your wheels look really cool.

I have it tinted by Premium Quality Glass & Tint in Sacramento area (Rancho Cordova). $164 for all except front windshield. Front side is 50%, read sids and windshield plus the smaller window below are 20%. They are using SolarGuard HP, great service, quality job, all were done in less than one hour. Really impressive.

They have Ceramic but I am too cheap:)

How much did that run you and what was the turnaround time?

I went with Llumar CTX (which is their ceramic tint, or their version of ceramic tint, that has a higher heat rejection factor). I went with 20% on the back doors, including both windows on the hatch door. I did 50% on the front doors and would not want them any darker because it would make them too dark to see through well at night.

I think 50% is all that's legal on the front windows in Wisconsin, so you may end up having to have them scraped off and redone, I suppose. I have the exact same prime. The dark interior makes the window tinting look much darker to a cop from the outside (because the inside of the car is so dark). The same tint on my Maxima looks much lighter from the outside because I have a tan interior in that car. It was around $400 for the tint job (it cost more than it otherwise would have due to the use of the ceramic film, which is more expensive).

I had Huper-Optik on my 2003 Insight. It was the best tint I've ever had. I think it had superior heat rejection, even when compared to other ceramic tints. $800 seems about right for that tint with the windshield included. It costs a lot to get a windshield tinted because they know people are much more particular about windshields.

It was $300 and turn around time was 2 Days. It was simple. I have a detailed post on the forum that I created. You can check out before and after a

Yeah same here. I've had a lot of different tints but this Huper-Optik ceramic film blocks an amazing amount of heat. The windshield by itself cost $300. The rest of the car cost $500. They were going to charge an extra $50 for the rear window because of the curvature but included it in the price. Total cost was closer to $900 including tax. And I plan on doing it on our HyCam when we get it...

I should've tried to find a local installer that used Huper, but I went with Llumar CTX. It's pretty good. A very high-end local company here that does window and wraps entire cars (Modern Image) installs 3M's best film, and they quoted something like $1,300 for the entire Prime. They swear it's the best tint available, and for that price it should be. However, I have to doubt it's better than the Huper.

Just had my 2017 Prime tinted. It's throwing headlight, collision, and radar errors. Anyone ever run into this?

I took out the covers and it didn’t have it

I bought the car used and the dealership said I have to purchase them at the parts department.

No need for them. I’ll be getting my summer rims very soon

Did you tint the glass in the areas where the sensors "see" through the windshield? I don't see how else tint could affect the sensors, unless they somehow damaged them during the install.

You don't want to get them in their parts department! ;)

Everyone’s tint here all look so classy and tastefully done.
Did anyone go with the 3M Crystalline? I see a ton of you guys went with Huper Optik and Llumar. Thisngotbme windering about the differences in heat rejection between the Huper Optik Ceramics vs the 3M Crystalline?

Window tint was the first modification on my Prime. The 2nd day I brought the car home, I just couldn’t stand the heat anymore. Went straight to the shop called Tint Zone (SGV area).

I chose to go with their 3M Crystalline CR 60 on the front windshield and CR 20 on the rest of the car.
Even though 20% is not as dark as I like it to be, it was the darkest available on the Crystalline line.

The heat rejection is so ridiculously good, it was unbelievable. The shop did the heat lamp demonstration right in front of me and I didn’t even bother going with anything else.

Some of the guys on page 1 thought $300 was a rip-off? ....Try $850 smh

I paid $300 just for Huper-Optik on my windshield. The rest of the car cost $500.
