The hazard lights flash without warning continuously. The faster the car is driven the faster they flash. The dealer thinks the cause is related to moisture on the abs module quoted 3-4k with no guarantees...Any ideas?
Yes they are on steadily. We had to pull the fuse to save the battery We did...we were concerned it would drain the battery. Thx
sounds like a computer/wiring issue, could be tough to find. hate to say this on a 7 year old car, but i'd just leave the fuse out before giving a dealer thousands for a fishing expedition. maybe call toyota to see if they can be helpful in any way.
You should get an electrical diagram and trace where the wires are and see if you can find a fault somewhere between the wiring. Check each wires for power and see which one stays on and such. It’s hard to diagnose online. You’ll need the right tools to trace it as well.
Could some liquid have spilled into the button that activates the hazard flashers? The button is located on the flying bridge pretty close to the cup holders. No accidents or body damage anywhere? Rodents chewing on wiring? Lastly, check the state of charge on the 12V battery.
