Hi guys, I can't seem to find any mud flap for the Prime. Anyone got anything? Thank you.

They're available in Canada for $86.99 CAD for a set of two front mud guards at any Toyota dealership (if you're close to the border).

I have had them fitted in the UK as part of the protection pack. They are factory fitted.

  5. Are they worth it? The whole Prime underbody looks covered, unlike the Prius c.

It seems like there are two kind of people in this world, ones with mud guards and ones without.
My wife insisted that I put them on our Prius, enough said. lol

The 2016 Prius demo we saw (at nearby Canadian dealership) had mudflaps, front and rear.

I really think they're surplus to requirements though, and this coming from a guy that ALWAYS got them, on a slew of previous Hondas. If anything they are a negative: take them off once in a while, and you'll invariably find a poultice of grit/grime/slime accumulated in behind them.

I only have them as I wanted the boot liner and protection for the boot open paid for by my company. It was the only way to get it ordered.

I don't think the Prime gets them as standard equipment (given that it's offered as an accessory on Toyota.ca)

Yeah that's why I always get the hose into the crevices of the mudguards, especially the rear ones. They can hold a lot of sand.

With our Hondas I'd take them off every spring *, during the wash that was to be followed by a wax. There would always be an incredible mass of grit and sludge. Don't miss 'em, have seen the light.

    * Had an appropriate screw driver bit, rolled into a mass of hockey tape, basically a super-stubby screwdriver you could sneak in without the need to remove wheels.

    What is different?

OK, I see the Prime is not listed. If I wanted some I would call them and make sure. They are too pricey to just take a chance but I don't see that much difference in the cars especially in the wheel well area.

We here in the US know that UK boot=trunk=cargo area, hence boot liner=cargo area tray or liner, but what does protection for the boot open mean??? Time to change your vehicle id, or haven't taken delivery of Prime yet?

the Canadian Toyota site seems to only list front mud guards for the Prime. Still looking for a part number.

Also curious about that. My guess would be a protector for the top of the bumper.

The bumpers differ between the two cars. So rear flaps for the Prius may not fit the Prime.

My local Toyota dealer said he had no part number for a 2016 Prius mud guards, even though my car was two years old.

I found the ones on eBay and they were Euro Style Mudguards and not for sale in the US (I Guess). They fit great and I gave the part

number to the parts guy at the dealership. They don't show fitting the Prime but I bet they would.

That rear shot of the Prime made me wake up. I forgot that the rear mudguard actually mounts to the bumper cover.

I have never been know for my keen powers of observation.

I know you guys have all got the bit-in-your-teeth on this, but really: those things are completely surplus, detrimental to aerodynamics, turn into snowcicles, harbour mud (in behind, between the mud flap and the body). That's why they call them mud flaps, lol. There's a reason they're not stock.
