2007 Prius entering Failsafe mode after short drive, OBD2 reads Code P3012

    OK, that sounds promising but unless it's in writing (not just a random guy) there's truly no guarantee they are gen3 modules. But if they are, then you should get better longevity simply based on time/age of the chemistry.

    In the rebuilding industry, when they say "3rd gen batteries are in the pack", they simply mean the replacement 1 or 2 modules are from 3rd gen. Not the entire battery.

    Even 3rd gen batteries are approaching 10 years old now, so they're probably not any better

    I thought it was not a good idea to mix generations of modules in the same pack.

    But it’s also not a good idea to offer a warranty and not have a product that can meet it;).

    They are also stating the latest generation modules but offering Gen 3. Some Gen 4 NiMH modules with improved grade of Nickel are now working in a Gen 2 pack.
    Gen 4 NiMH modules are the latest, not Gen 3.

    I am sure most all @2k1Toaster 's kits will exceed the 2 year unlimited miles warranty.
