Note too that in the UK the Prius PHV is called the Prius Plugin. That can be confusing for users here who thought that name was retired.

    1) It's about time nedc changed. 70 g co2/km is equivalent to 78 mpg, the nedc-equivalent toyota is using is equivlent to 70 mpg. These are crazy high overestimation of real world fuel economy. WLPT is better but still bad compared to real world, it has accelerations 0-30 in 15 seconds and only light load conditions for engines. This keeps the advantage to undersized engines, which may pollute more in the real world.

    2) The low co2 congestion charge has everything to do with politics and not much to do with pollution. I will leave it to british politics to decide if they should move the hurdle as they improve the accuracy of testing.

Yeah at least they're moving towards WLPT but the EPA still appears to be the closest to reality and thankfully NRC has adopted the "5-mode" test as well (as of 2014) so we'll get similar mpg stickers to the US models.

Only if you could post a photo with a cardboard Clarkson scowling and you are holding a "No Congestion Charge" poster with a big grin.

Why settle for cardboard when the real Clarkson is just as flimsy!
