I like those rims. Did you buy them? Any change to your MPG?

If you transfer existing sensors over to new rims it's ok, no change?

I drove over to Tire Rack in South Bend Indiana in December and bought four of those same wheels. They are still in my garage and I am going to mount four new tires on them in the spring.

I bought four programmable Autel MX-sensors and the tool to program them. Just waiting till spring. Fine minds run alike. lol

I cloned my new TPMS sensors with the information from the originals so the car will not know the difference, at least that is my plan.

Those wheels are drilled for two different stud spacing, I liked them because with the center caps everything is covered up and easy to keep clean.

I bought one. To try on the car and to use as a spare. I haven't had time to mount it yet and it's too cold! I went to Puerto Vallarta for a week!

Yes i think it would work if you can transfer them to the new wheel. I like what the next post has about cloning the originals.

I think I will look into the clones.

    I like the design.

Otherwise, FWIW, what are you trying to accomplish?
In the first photo, those rims, maybe 15 inch, could be larger, maybe 17 if artistically one wishes to fill the wheel well better.
Unsure about the 38 mm offset comment. Maybe you are referring to possibility that tire will hit the fender liner during turning or compression? I don't know.
Larger diameter and or wider rims usually equate to a rougher ride.
Tires - high mileage or race or all season with snow. Noting this website offer much research on road noise, MPG increases, brands etc.
Lastly, be aware of the weight, tire and rim combined. IMO lighter is always best for any performance, yet rim damage from pot holes is always a possibility and be aware of long term availability of a replacement rim if needed.

That wheel without the center cap has 10 holes to fit two different bolt patterns. I liked the center caps because they hide all 10 bolt holes. They are impossible to clean. The center caps are aluminum not plastic.

One thing that bugs me about the rim in post #1 is the spindly spokes and big gaps: it will show the brakes a lot, and depending on your taste that's good or bad. I like the 2012 PIP (15") rims, they're a little busy, but overall like the look. Have a set, just trying to figure out what to do with them. Our OEM's are the 17", and I'm pretty much resigned to the PIP rims becoming the snow tire rim, when the current snow tires (on black steel Corolla rims) get too low.

A lot of people like the open look of the wheel and then do the drilled and slotted rotors with an off color caliper cover. This is really popular today. You either like it or you hate it.

If everything is rusty behind the wheel it's best not to draw attention to it. Lol

I will be looking to get a set of wheels (with snow tires). Let me know how this set goes if you get them, thanks
