Don't expect it to take off like a Tesla Roadster driven by Spaceman. ;)

Don’t plan on it anytime soon. Waiting to see what the refresh looks like.

This thread is for all gen4 (& Prime) Owner’s to just show what they did on any given day. 1 thread where all mods are shown. Sometimes a lot easier to find in 1 thread rather than trying to search all the less active threads. I started this same type of thread in the gen3 section back in 2012. To date it’s had + 1 million views & +15k replies & still going strong.

I haven't seen a "cool" looking Gen 4 yet. But then again I wouldn't be surprised if it happens. Nothing surprises me anymore.

Now you want one  :D
Actually, I think they lifted them. You tend to lower yours.

Following your link I actually think the Gen 4 looks better lifted than lowered. Maybe the Gen 4 just doesn't have the body lines for a lowered look.

Here's my technical breakdown of what makes a car, namely a Prius, look "cool" IMO.

    Cool" = $$$, luxury. Right?

So "cool" = look and feel more like Lexus cars. Ex/ Aimgain Prius, lowered Prius (Lexus tends to have a lower profile), 17" + rims (name me a Lexus that uses 15-16" rims), etc. Ever notice that those niceties are basically already included in luxury vehicles? Lexuses don't need Clazzio leather, shark fins, Remin dash kits, and LED side view mirrors. We may not realize it but the modifications we do are subconsciously a push for a luxury car. I don't expect everyone to agree, but that's what it seems like to me at least.

Now where does the Gen 4 fit into all this? That's the million dollar question. In my opinion, it's not designed in a way that feels like it has the potential to be luxurious. Aside from the atrocious styling, the interior looks and feels cheap.

Near the windshield there will be a connector. Look for the purple wire.

No. U need to put the black wire on the purple. The dome light is a negative switched circuit.

The red wire needs a constant positive

Ok, this isn’t what I’ve done today but what I’ve done so far...
    IMG_1283.JPG IMG_1879.JPG
Started with installing Megan Racing coil overs and Niche Targa 18x8 wheels and tires.
IMG_1840.JPG IMG_1842.JPG IMG_1843.JPG Followed that up with wheel well flares and then stopped by Hybrid Pit to have side skirts installed.
IMG_2871.JPG F35C8CA1-013D-43B7-BE70-0889DA0B4FE9.jpg Then had Hybrid Pit install the 3in1 sequential turn signals in the mirrors.
In between, I had the windows tinted, rear wiper delete and installed Toyota Japan window visors and a full LED interior light kit.

    Nice Details.

Those Wheelwell Flares & Side Skirts look very tidy. Do they reduce the splatter of winter road debris along the side of the car?

Did you have any more photos of the flares un-boxed and being fitted, are they custom or a generic brand?

    Cheers, Steve

To each his own. I waited until they stopped making the Prius look like a stupid egg before I purchased my gen4. No need to spend $1000's of dollars de-egging it because it has style right out of the box.

That's what I was wondering as well. The splatter, is REAL.
