Whoops...just realized i started this thread and never posted what i had installed. I have a 12" Pioneer TS-SWX3002 powered by a Power Acoustik Rz1-1500d amp that was mounted under the rear seat. I also swapped out the stock speakers with Rockford Fosgate R165X3 in the doors. Got everything purchased and installed for under $400. It's by no means a top of the line system but sufficient enough for me to enjoy my daily 2 hours behind the wheel.

Thanks, that's what i was aiming for. With limited trunk space, i didn't want anything that would fill the entire trunk.

Sweet looking setup! That's the exact look i'm looking to do! Did your installer have any issues hooking up? Notice any issues with MPG or EV range because of it?

    Thank you

Thank you...no issues with hookup at all...forgot to mention i also have a LC2i which helped in sound quality. My installer tapped into the front driver door speaker wire to get connection for the LC2i. As far as MPG and EV range. In all honesty I haven't noticed a change but then again I never really paid attention to it before the setup...main reason I got the car was to take advantage of the HOV lane stickers here in SoCal. Not that you care, I drive close to 3k miles a month for work all along the freeway during rush hour so the HOV sticker was what sold me on the car.

I bought the Prime (hybrid in general) to take advantage of HOV lane here in Long Island. Most Hybrids fit the bill but the Prime was too good to pass up with the tax credit, $3500 incentive from Toyota and the fact I can plug in at work.

From what I read, an amp and small sub shouldn't impact MPG much at all since it wouldn't be "cranking" all day. I just want a little extra bump when driving. I have a 600watt sony amp from like 10-15 years ago and a big single 12" box. If I can sell those and get a smaller amp and a small low profile 8" or 10" sub

Anyone have any pics or detailed info on how you routed the power wire through the firewall?

I’m using an LC2i to a built in amplified sub Pioneer
    Hi Tony,

Did your installer connect the LC2i directly to the battery terminal?

Any idea what color wires did your installer tap into on the left side driver door speaker via the kick panel?

Sorry for all the questions but I would be extremely grateful.

    Erik

Can't imagine a line output converter would require power directly from the battery.

True. Any idea what color wire I can tap into for a signal?

I tapped into the power wire behind the radio. I used an aftermarket harness (which indicates power, accessory, ground, etc.) to connect an aftermarket radio.

Oh ok. I thought you were using the stock head unit. Thanks anyway.

Hi Brian - which model Bazooka do you have? If you can’t access the actual model #, then do you know how many watts? Thanks!
