This is just to let people know my experience sorry if this has been covered before but i couldn't find any existing reference!!

    I recently purchased a 2007 Prius NHW20 JDM with Japanese MFD(86110-47062)
I purchased an MFD from Wrecker(Salvage Yard) that was NZ new(english)86110-47081

It took all of ten minutes to change units over and now have fully functioning English display!!

Hope this is helpful to somebody

    Thanks
    David

I find the early 2004-2005 gen 2 cars hold much more fuel than 2006-2009. Both my 2006 ran low much faster than my 2005s. Like they did something when they went to 2006 refresh

I guess they found some cheaper material to make the damn thing out of. if I could source a European tank, I'd definitely make it work.

Great to hear. I'm wanting to do the same but in Auckland. Do you remember how much you paid for it (if you don't mind me asking)? Also, what happened with the FM radio, does it still work with the Japanese frequencies, or does it now work with the NZ frequencies? I ask this because the FM radio is controlled via the MFD, and I like to listen to FM occasionally.
