While I was in the cumbersome process to install my new Clazzio seat covers, I took some pictures of the space under the rear couch. If they were not for the weight limitations, apparently it would not be a problem to add the third place. Note also the lightening of the structure, it seems almost an airplane assy PC230009.jpg PC230010.jpg PC230011.jpg PC230012.jpg PC230014.jpg PC230017.jpg

Were the seat bottoms difficult to remove? Jack and tire tool under left rear seat? Where? Did I get that wrong again? Looks like easy access CAN bus wiring. At least there's no room for the Toe Monster (Godzilla please)

The seats just snap in and out. Pull, pop, done.

Jack is under the left rear seat. There's a door so no need to remove the cushion to get it out. Tire tool is in a bag which I keep in the rear cargo slot bottom. Fits like it was made to go there.

ah, hadn't even noticed that... stupid f'ing Toyota, why the hell isn't that standard across all countries? do they think that only 1/2 the world doesn't need power to charge their phones in the back?

There's a 12V outlet in the back of the Prime, just at the bottom instead of the top.

Do you mean that the US Prime shape of the area behind the front armrest is different than the EU Prime(aka Prius PHV)?

Mine doesn't look like the one shown above, but it does have a 12V outlet in it.

Perhaps mine - the one of the pictures - has a different design in that area, because the solar roof battery is located under the front armrest.

Yes - if you have the solar roof option, you will get the pocket with a top-mounted charging port. I guess in Europe, it's still the 12V outlet. In Japan, a 100V household outlet goes there instead.

Otherwise, you get the standard box with the 12V outlet located near the floor like all US and Canadian models.

well that'll teach me not to look.

still, you'd think they would just standardize as many parts as they could across the whole world to reduce costs. it can't be cheap to keep redesigning simple parts that don't need to be redesigned.

Well in their defense, the standard part is shared with the Gen 4 so it is that way everywhere on both Gen 4 and Prime. It gives you more foot room.

It's only if you get the solar roof do you get the modified console with the power outlet up top.
