there has never been a company rated #1 in owner satisfaction -

    2017-12-21 08.09.31.png

that decided it'd be best if they threw in the towel ..... because of missed deadlines, nickel & dime quality issues Etc . That's not to suggest any of the failure wishers should find something else to do. - no
In fact, hopefully, all that negativity will drop the 400,000 wait list down to 350,000 or less. That way others can get their cars more quickly!

Never mentioned customer satisfaction and this rating is based on the first 90 days of ownership. Let's get the ratings after 5 years of ownership. That goes for Genesis too! Who did this survey? Lexus IS always at the top!

    You would be incorrect.
The survey Hill linked is based on owners that have owned the car for three years.
Here is the link again: Car Brands Ranked by Owner Satisfaction - Consumer Reports

of course Shell Oil will help manufacturers! Shell oil doesn't mind hydrogen that much ... they get to sell lots of non-renewable natural gas for reformation. Shell Oil hopes to waste natural gas reserves so they can drive up non-renewable costs. Shell oil "teaming up" with manufacturers isn't the 1st experiment to fail - & it won't be the last ....

Vancouver's Hydrogen Bus Program Is KAPUT! High Costs Kill Hydrogen Commitment | CleanTechnica

it won't be the last experiment - as long as the lobby can pay off legislators ... at least until taxpayer $$ well runs dry - like in Canada. Unlike smarter Canadians though, transportation manufacturers don't mind throwing taxpayers' dollars after bad.
That said, not quite sure what the hydrogen fail has to do with Tesla expanding their supercharger network - other than imagining if it gets talked up - it might somehow eventually compete with transportation that doesn't need to rely on non-renewables, just to be less outrageously overpriced.

Sorry. I am not well versed in UK English.

In Canada we called them transport trucks. A tractor is used for plowing my garden.

Thanks for that explanation, it clears up as little mystery for me.

And in the US I've heard the term "tractor trailer" for the 18-wheeler HGV semi.

It is used that way on signs too. What do you call one without the trailer? A tractor is what I use to plow and cultivate my garden.

lol. No need to apologise :). I used to call them juggernaughts as a kid but I've never heard anyone else use the term so I just went with semi-trailer or tractor trailer which North Americans seem to understand.

I am sure that Hilton will add a hefty fee to use the chargers, whether Tesla or other. Just like wifi, parking, bottled water, etc.

LOL. The bubble! Remember pets.com? Webvan (homegrocer.com)? Infospace? Yes, they are only memories, now.

I worked for a company designing warehouses for Webvan. They were a huge client, bringing in more than 75% of our revenue. The income stream stopped literally overnight. And our company went out of business. Tesla is not immune. In a bubble situation cash becomes king. Failures occur for lack of cash flow, not lack of technology or product failure.

I believe Tesla's contract for providing the destination chargers stipulates free use.

I'm not sure what level of member one needs to be to qualify for free wifi in the room. Since I'm either at "Dirt" or "Lead" I am satisfied using the free wifi in the lobby/lounge. The beer is reasonably priced during happy hour in the lobby.

Say I want to advertise, "Nine out of ten dentists recommended Ultradent over Crast." I interview, say 30 dentists. 12 of them say that given the $300 stipend, they would be willing to recommend Ultradent over Crast. The rest do not. I choose 9 of the yahsayers, and one of the naysayers. Then I ask them if they recommend Ultradent over Crast. Nine do. One does not. That is how marketing is done, my friends. You cannot trust the message put out by owner or the industry. Or the Stealership.

How in the world does your comment relate to a survey of owners by a third party?
Are you saying Consumer Reports only used a subset of respondents?

There is no such thing as an unbiased third party. Including Consumer Reports. IMHO. I have worked in marketing. I know.
