What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

Well I only did it since I changed out to Persona carpet. And I had some left over. I just finished installing it so idk how it will be differed. But every little bit counts. I had done my doors in the past and that alone made a BIG difference. The speaker sound quality improves and doors stopped sounding. like a tin can.

 

Ended up changing my engine oil and cvt. surprisedly the engine feels smoother when it kicks on. I just recently bought my new to me 2012 plug in. And it had a reminder sticker for 89k oil change and it has 88,247 miles.

Did both oil changes also couple weeks ago at 86ooo miles, the most notable change is that I have 2 more bars average when I get back home with ice off 95% of the last 2 mile drive. So Usually down to last 2 but now 4 left, and that was during summer.

added Pioneer 4201NEX with backup camera.

shows 7" screen with HD radio





shows the 7" screen removed for security.





and backup camera mounted.

 

wouldve been cool if u added front camera also, just use a Video cable splitter and u can have both images of reverse cam and front cam on the display. Or just make a button that u can switch on the front camera on, with some sort of lock switch if that makes sense so the rear camera overrides the front camera if the switch is on. If i had a non factory rear view camera car i wouldve definetly done that. To bad i had to use a second screen to make the front camera work cause of my parking assist.

 

Oil change & AC Evaporator cleaning with the OE kit today. Trying a new cabin air filter since my 2 dogs have affected the interior freshness.

 

Anybody have experience with purchasing Prius aftermarket parts with eBay seller

fstdirect out of South San Francisco?

If so are they legit?

Looking into the Valenti Lights.

Im looking at these, another seller thats down in Taiwan 10-15 Prius Hybrid XW30 Valenti LED Tail Light Hatchback ZVW30 Toyota Red | eBay they claim its Valenti and stuff so. If u buy things on Ebay, email the seller and make em say its a legit piece. Just in case its not u can report it to Ebay with evidence they said it was real (even tho the ad should be plenty enough to show to Ebay if they scam). Ebay takes stuff like that pretty seriously. If the seller got good reputation and alot of positive feedback they wont risk the whole reputation just to scam one person. I couldnt find the seller u were on about tho on ebay, u got a link to it?

Im pretty sure that guy is legit yea. Been on Ebay since 2001 and got over 10 000 positive feedback and only a 100 in negative from buyers. I highly doubt that guy would risk his whole buisness to scam people. Plus im pretty sure it says valenti on the taillight right here. Everything seems to be legit.

 

@MagnusAG99 , this seller is cheaper than seller from Taiwan . You gonna try to purchase from fstdirect?

 

I may actually do that, it got me wondering when i checked on the guy from taiwans ad`s where it doesnt say valenti on the light housing... he says it is legit but now im kind of doubting. Only problem i got with fstdirect is that they apparently dont ship to Norway. I may have to contact him and see how much that would cost. Im pretty sure he is legit atleast, or else he wouldnt have all that positive feedback and a 99% only 5 star ratings.

 

@MagnusAG99 , I tried contacting seller awhile back and never got a response, so I’m trying again. Also, there was another thread on this seller from an older post asking the same question. Not sure if OP ever made the purchase.

i see, apparently the seller does not answer questions about details of the item. It just redirects u to the "specification" part. But yea, as they said in that thread. I wouldnt be worried at all about buying anything from him. Ebay`s new guidelines and stuff pretty much denies the sellers to say no when it comes to returns and money back.

No problem, i will probably have to end up buying it somewhere else or make someone i know in the states to ship it privatly to me after they help me purchase it. Cause apparently i cant even contact the dude about shipping. It just says he excludes "Russia and ukrain" and places like that... but norway isnt even close to russia so yea...
