I still haven't downloaded Entune or signed up for Safety Connect after 7 months with the car. Can't see that it's worth the effort.

 

What I use Entune the most for is the ‘charge now’ button. When I plug in, want an immediate charge, and forget that it won’t start until midnight because of my charging schedule. It’s handy for that when it occurs to me 30 minutes later.

 

Never had that happen. I just push the touch button when I get out of the car, in the cases where I need to charge right away.

 

They can do this? I may have to take mine back!

That's what I get for not reading the whole manual yet!

So, we'll get them to:
- turn of the reverse buzzer
- have the smart key unlock all doors when grabbing the driver handle (we have a Plus)

Isn't there some app+connector that allows us to do the changes on our own?

 

Pretty sure you can do the last one yourself.

The unlock all doors with ~2 seconds on door handle hold is the default, out of the factory with mine. Not in the Plus? That's unfortunate. I was surprised mine (Advanced) worked that way. For all I know, my Gen3 did also and I never knew about it.

The backup beep thing. Most dealers will charge you $$$ for that change. Either make it a condition of the sale from the get go, or come up with a story the service writer will accept. Mine was that the wife wouldn't drive the car, ever, if it made that annoying noise. I mentioned that at the first service interval, and they made it a N/C change, and that I mentioned that it would be pretty easy when they already had it plugged into TechStream. So they knew that I knew it was a 3 minute or less code change.

The truth is that my wife actually really would not drive the Gen3 or the Prime (with the more annoying continuous beeps) with changing the backup function to one beep.

 

Hell yes! Told Infiniti to remove the stickers on my QX60 and they looked at me like I was crazy. Told them to pay me to advertise for you. Manager said in all his years no one had ever asked/said that.

 

Believability factor: 1 out of 10.

 

It does it, but the wait is a bit annoying for us.
