If you're using the "Departure Time" setting, you'll be fine; that's the preferred method of charging (start using the battery soon after it finishes charging as opposed to "charge now" and let it still full for overnight).

Leaving it plugged in will also allow the traction battery heater to run to bring your battery temperature up to 32°F if the battery is below that temperature. Warmer battery = more available power and capacity.

Yes I’ll have to start using Departure Time. That works for me on weekdays, not so much on weekends. How would I handle that?

Just pick a time such that it'll cover the earliest departure on the weekend. I'm sure it doesn't matter if you let it sit for a few more hours compared to the weekdays.

Got it, so now I plugged it in to charge at 10pm which means at around 3:30am it will be done charging. I leave work at around 9am so it sits 5 1/2 hours after it’s done charging. Not good.

On the weekdays, I would set it with "Departure Time" rather than "Charge Start". So you plug it in at 10pm but you set it to finish charging by 9am (it'll usually finish before 9am.. some people have said up to 30 mins prior). That way, you minimise the "cold soak" (where the battery is sitting at "full" charge. Of course we know Toyota is conservative and full doesn't really mean full but for all intensive purposes, I'm using the battery display as a reference point).

On weekends, if you don't typically leave before, say 11am, then set the departure time for 11am. If you leave at 12, fine, 3pm that's fine too.
