    But the wife is still happy with out the 3rd row(y).

    Meanwhile, the LX570 loses a row (ok it's just a two-row model).

    The 3-row RXL does look good. The more upright rear window and lengthened model doesn't detract from the styling.

    It's fine. The two-row RX is still a very good vehicle.

    It’s a great vehicle:).

    My wife takes the Charleton Heston approach to her RX: you can have my key when you pry the key from my cold dead hands;).

    I tried to convince on the 3rd row highlander hybrid but once the RX was test driven, there was no going back :(.

    But good to know that it is an option for future buyers(y).

    This is why I stay away from Lexus vehicles.... there's no going back to Toyota after owning one haha. I'll gladly test drive them and keep up with the news but ownership is a different beast.

    But there are many benefits:).

    I am particularly fond of the quietness of the ride. The doors are heavy and close nicely whereas in our 2010 the doors leave something to be desired :(.

    Never been a big sunroof guy and that’s one of the only drawbacks to the RX.

    Keep test driving and one day you’ll own(y).

    Oh I'm fully aware of the benefits (hmm, there's no drool emoji lol)

    I still want that 3G ES300 but I remember the 2nd Gen RX launch event at the Westin. Buttery smooth leather and of course lovely hor d'oeuvres. The semi-aniline leather option on the UL packages of the ES and IS. The chronograph instrument cluster on the 1G IS and the cool curved woodgrain piece on door panel of the 3G GS.

    Ah the leather:whistle:.

    If Mrs. Tideland accompanied you to the events, and you are still Lexus-less, you’re a better man than I :cool:.

    But I’ll take my wife’s guilty pleasure from time to time;).

    Almost took the RX on our So Cal trip, but was able to cram all the luggage (and presents for her family in Palm Springs) into the Prius:).

    Looks a little tight in the 3rd row. Not sure if you were planning on carrying kids or adults. Kids? It'll work. Adults? They may not like you when you get to your destination

    You must read minds cause as I saw your note, guess what my wife’s comments were:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:.

    That sloping glass at the back will limit 3rd row comfort:(.

    The sliding and reclining rear seats are a great feature:).

    I hope that never goes away(y).

    I think it's sad the way the RX has ballooned into such a monstrosity. The first RX300 we had (99 I think?) was a large vehicle for us. But we've gone through a RX330, RX350, RX400h, and now an RX450h and they seem to just get bigger and bigger.

    The NX is like what the RX was. I am sure in a decade the RX will have 4 rows, the NX will be getting it's third row, and some new "X" will be starting the size trend over a gain...

    Yikes, that grille and front! I can't get beyond that. That makes the 2017 Prius V catfish front end look great by comparison. I'm talking about the 3/4 view from the side - 8th photo. Looks like someone glued on part of a completely different model instead of what should have been there.

    Going through all the photos in the 2nd link above (that has real photos available), I'm liking the looks of the rest of the RX and I have no doubt the quality is there. My wife drives a Lexus now that we bought used, and the luxury features of not even the highest level of her vehicle blow away the best Toyota could ever offer. +1 on those that say one can never go back to Toyota once you own a Lexus.
