2017 toyota prius center caps vs 2010 toyota prius center caps—are they different sizes??

    Anyone know if 2017 toyota Prius Prime wheel center caps differ in size from 2010 toyota Prius center caps?

    In a word, yes.

    AFAIK, same diameter, but the groove inside the centre bore, that the jaws of the centre cap lock on are a different distance from the front face of the wheel.

    The 2016 and up Prius and Prius Prime have a deeper lip for the center cap to grab onto. So the only center caps that will work are Toyota part #42603-52170 for the center caps.

    I wonder why they would do that? Intentional, oversight? Oh well.
