    I'm new here....
I got 2011 Prius and Electronic Display where it shows Speed, Gas etc doesn't work.
When I put my fingers on the buttons on steering wheel it lights up, also if I push eco/power mode those lights are on ... But speed, gas are off....

Screen where it shows Hybrid Battery powering and mileage works fine...
I tried to see if lights are dimmed and turned it all the way up, till it clicked (turned on) didn't help.Even lights inside the car didn't turn on...
    I'm confused...

    Couldn't find recall or TSB.

    What might be the problem?

    Thank you.

Car starts without problem, even if I don't drive it for few days.
do you think I should replace 12V Battery?

    Thank you

Then I agree with tankyoung, it is probably your 12v aux battery.

Have you tried disconnecting the 12v battery and let it sit for about a minute, then reconnect it?

I had a similar problem with my 2008 Prius

I disconnected it for an hour, it didn't help.
how do I check if it is battery or not?
    Looks like it's original battery.

    Could it be fuse?

    Thank you.

You'll have to take it to an auto parts store like Pep Boys or Auto Zone

I'm going to guess its a bad combination meter. If the10amp fuse is blown, the display would've gone out. the ECU controls the combination meter, and that rarely goes bad. I would bring it to the dealer and have them diagnose it if no one can guess what it is on here. Hopefully it's still under warranty, or if there is a TSB for this issue.

here's the attached file (thanks to Mendel :D), hopefully this helps.

It's the one where the blue wire comes out from. It doesn't say on the file but check under the driver kick panel.

Check all the 10amps, on the cover, it will display what each fuse is for. If none of the fuse are burnt, it's the display then...

I put the new 12v battery one month ago but I don't know which fuse is related to!
I checked the fuse box inside the hood and there were be ok.

i don't either. i think there is also a fuse box by the drivers left foot? maybe something came loose behind the display, or, it could be defective.

Test it. Much better than relying on an internet opinion poll.

Either do it yourself, at the least a rudimentary check of voltage with a multi meter, or more comprehensive assessment with something like Solar BA5. Or check with battery retailers: they should have pro-level electronic battery testers, can determin it's voltage, Cold Cranking Amps, and a verdict. Dealership can do similar test, but will charge $75+ I think.
