    ~1 New 195/65R15 Michelin Defender 1956515 195 65 15 R15 Tires | eBay

    $59 a piece x 4 = $238

Then another $65 for shipping. Total delivered is $303.

What do you think about this? Seems fishy lol.

Otherwise there is Costco special of $70 off + 1 penny for tire installation. But they only have energy savers (which reviews say great MPG drives like crap) or Premier AS.....I am tired of wobbling on the freeway in order to get an extra 3 miles per tank. Looking for 100% longest lasting best driving tire. And Costco does not have Defenders in stock.

I'll probably go with the premieres at Costco around $450 installed.

Just one "data point" regarding tread wear on the the Defenders, our son has had a set of 195/65R15 Defender XT on for one season, wear looks to be 1.5/32" per 10K kms (roughly 6250 miles).

    I'm also considering Premier A/S.

My 08 has ecopias and if pavement on freeway is grooved (hard to explain the look but all over here) the car is hard to control.

I had Continentals and they were a nice ride and good gas mileage. Tire rack has great reviews, both from the editors and the consumers and they rank them. I have found that Costco does great work but they often have to order whatever you select. Also, I have seen out the door pricing from a number of local shops beat Costco by $100 for a set of four. I've had great experience with Dunn Tire.

I had true contacts by continental and they road great. They are up there with Defenders imo.

I dropped off car at Costco at 9:30am and took an Uber home. Cost for Michelin Premieres was about $450 out the door. They are so slow over there but should be done in a couple hours.

Just now? Please post your impressions of those. OTD price up here is comparable, btw:

I think there's one more charge, maybe around $5 per tire, to cover recycling.

Currently, all local-to-me Costco warehouses are not selling tires online, due to snow tire rush. Bit of a pain, hopefully resolves soon.

$451 out the door here because they charge 1 penny per tire for install.

Haven't driven yet but wife said they are nice, quiet, and good over bumps.

Shows $351.00 shipped for me in Tustin California. Not really worth it .
Found a local place on Craigslist that has them for $75.00 each tire so I'll see how much with install and tax

Drove it today for first time since getting the Michelin Premiers. It drives very nice. May possibly have front wheel bearings very quietly humming or perhaps it is tire noise...but nothing major...Can't remember how it was before.

The standout feature is it handles superior on the freeway. I can drive it with one finger on any type of pavement going 80mph and have full control.
