Car gives error message on screen P LOCK ABNORMAL. No OBD codes. Car does not ready unless I disconnect a wire in the fuse box wait a few seconds & reconnect the wire.
12v is 12v car off with a load & 14v When ready. I discovered the wire bc I was checking the fuses & I just disconnected that cable just bc no real reason & now everytime I turn off the car the car will not turn on unless I disconnect that cable for a few seconds
When you disconnect the 12v power source, it'll allow you to start your car 1 time, but the bad part, it'll erase all your codes. So you'll need to read the codes before disconnecting the power source
A generic obd2 reader may not offer relevant hybrid codes. You might want to look into obtaining a mini-vci cable ($20, you also would need a laptop) or and elm327 device ($3+, you would also need an android type device).
If you haven't already replaced the 12v battery, try testing again, after an overnight non-use (of any kind). This time include the percentage point.
Do yourself a favor. Test the battery per instructions on the link. Report your levels here. Low 12v batteries have been known to create all kinds of wacky symptoms.
I just purchased a new 12v battery last week & the one I replaced was a yellow top optima that was only 1 year old.
so let's recap: 1) 12v is low 2) you have an inadequate code reader 3) you're disconnecting an unknown wire to get it to restart 4) am i missing anything?
