You might find a better deal, and they will likely still be genuine, from an Amazon seller. But how much better, and this is something you do once, twice at the most in the vehicle's lifetime, not worth chasing around.

 

there are some dealers online. camelback toyota for one. i get a price online for filters, then ask my local if they will match, and they do.

 

Not sure if you need it very quickly or not, but I get all my parts through Crown Toyota in Ontario, CA (you wouldn't have to pay sales tax outside CA) and they are great with their selection and prices! Good luck

 

I've had experience with this, buying a battery out-of-province. Still, it seems kind of nuts, that it's advantageous to ship a heavy lead battery halfway across the country, paying less tax, compared to buying locally.

Sometimes the dealers will match prices but I found that often times they won't. In fact, I had to order some bolts and the local dealer was charging 3x MSRP - I told them what the Toyota MSRP was and they simply said this is the price, take it or leave it
