U don't need to pull the whole bumper off but u do need to move the 5 clips & 2 10mm bolts on the top, 1 clip / 1 screw in each wheel arch & 1 clip under the bumper just in front of each wheel. Place a small box under the bumper so that u can tilt the bumper forward & rest it on the box. This will give u enough clearance to swap the headlights

Sorry for thread jacking lol. So this happened last night: IMG_5636.JPG IMG_5637.JPG
I only did one side, the other side is HID. Still waiting on some hardware bits from Toyota for the right side unit. Seems awesome though.

I think I do, but don't want to judge just yet because of still having the right side still be HID

So you scoured eBay for Plugin Advanced headlights?

I might do the LED conversion but using the chrome housing ones.

That is correct. Easy to find one cheaply, hard to find a matching pair. Seems that LH lights are damaged less than RH ones.

Hello. Im new to this forum and bought a 2010 Prius (zvw30) couple of weeks ago and now I decided to upgrade it bit by bit. Where can I get this LED headlight conversion? Can I just buy these headlights from ebay? Is the install simple bolt on? Do they have automatic height adjustment?

You can buy the lights on eBay just make sure you are getting both the same style. Also make sure the computers are available. 2010-2011 headlights use the computer that’s like a piece of aluminum about the size of a piece of toast. 2012-2015 headlights have a smaller module with a plastic cover, more importantly they have a different connector.

You will also need to make a conversion harness for the wiring but the headlights themselves will bolt right into the car. No, they will not have automatic leveling, but should be aimed from the last car they were on. The auto leveling system uses a computer, switch on the dash, and rear suspension height sensor, so there’s no way to get just the wiring for that. It’s included in the cars main wiring.

Ok. I live in Finland and here it is regulated that if you have xenon headlights they must have auto leveling. Then I will just stay with the original H11 / HB3 headlights and use H11 Led kit and buy a Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited HB3... Shame....

That is a shame. LED is not xenon but I doubt the law makes that distinction. An H11 LED kit will give your projectors a cat’s-eye look just so you know.

Yep. I already have H11 led-kit and Led parking bulbs and it looks really cool. Only problem is humidity inside the headlight wont dry out...

Best way to deal with that is take the headlight inside your house and leave the bulbs out for a couple days and let the AC or heat dry it out. Not always feasible to do so though.

Is it hard to take the headlight apart from the car?

No, you just have to take the inner fender liner loose and remove the bumper fasteners from the top of the grille all the way across then there’s a headlight bolt behind the bumper and a headlight tab behind the grille that clips into the metal

Any of u guys who knows what the connector for the 2010-2011 LED headlight is called? im looking for just an extension for it. Since im adding DRL`s i need to hook one of the wires from the DRL to the headlight so the DRL knows when to shut off. So yea... do u guys know what the connector on the 2010-2011 LED headlight is called? or if its any extension harnesses for it? i really dont wanna slice up the OEM cables to fit the DRL wire... id rather have an extension i can hook things up to and stuff so i dont ruin the OEM wires.

There are no extension harnesses. You can make one by purchasing male and female connector halves and terminals. It will probably cost over $100 though

i see.. guess i will just use scotch locks to hock them on the positive wire then
