I have always wanted to kick the guy at Microsoft who wrote the "friendly" error messages in Internet Exploder.

Error messages are useful for people that fix things.

This was from within PC, though FF might've had something to do with it.

One thing is that it's generally considered unwise to provide detailed error messages (other than timestamps) to users on a web service - detailed messages can provide a lot of info to an attacker that can allow them to later compromise the site.

This obviously doesn't have anything to do with Microsoft's "friendly" error messages in Windows, but it does explain why PriusChat's errors are so simplistic.

Also, in both cases, errors are usually logged to an error log if you need detailed status. (Event Viewer is your friend with Windows troubleshooting.)

Pretty much every post I've tried does not appear to complete. But, wait a minute or two, refresh the page a few times, and it's posted, as often as not. But if you take it at face value, try posting several times, it ends up multiple posting.

If you're writing a tome, best to copy it to clipboard (select all and <ctrl> C, in Windows) for insurance, before refreshing the page.

    Also, attachements are not happening.

Some problem with sub forum headers and Cloudflare. Google PC and pick any thread post. Site opens OK then go to new post tab at the top and your in like Flint and can see everything.

Need to manually refresh after Post Reply button use and maybe Save Changes button use also.

i suspect danny is not aware of the problem yet, otherwise, it would have been fixed by now.

It puked when I started a new thread. Pasted a short link from Jalopnik and it looked like the link turned into the HTML code for the entire article.

That particular form of hideous URL is different than the normal website puking. It sometimes does that when you simply enter the URL as raw text.

I replied with a cleaned up link. You can post cleaner links too, by putting in the desired page title, highlighting it, then using the chain link icon (7th icon in the row on top the edit window) to attach the desired link.

My first try was corrupted up website puking, and it won't even render enough of the page for me to get back in to re-edit it. My second try, on the other thread, worked.
