2018 models....when?

I got my 2017 Gen 4 in October 2017. In my experience, Toyota US tends to align somewhat closely with traditional US model releases, except for new model introductions. (Tundra, Gen 4 Prius, & Prime come to mind.)

No, it is ordinary market behavior in the presence of inflation. Why should Toyota skip it when nearly everyone else does it?

Several decades ago, when inflation was higher and I bought a Honda Accord, it had at multiple price increases during the very same model year, despite no updates whatsoever.

... and there I was hoping for a 5-seating version of the Prius Prime - as per the following article:

I guess we'll have to wait until 2019.

 

If there are improvements to the 2018 models, it's a safe bet Toyota will hold off the introduction of certain '18 models until after the majority of 2017 models are sold. Perhaps that's the reason Toyota isn't saying anything about the 2018 Prime model (yet).

 

Check back in November, As history puts it November is when they come out with next years version.

I got my 2017 Liftback in October 2016. If they do not start building until November, it is definitely delayed.

Actually, that is the bigger news here, as all other opinions had that model as good as dead.

 

According to these two pieces of insider info there will be no 2018 v being offered in the US:

That does not mean the Prius v is dead in other countries, though.

 

Toyota Germany has allready announced changes for the 2018 regular Prius,as we finally get the nice titanium-glow color which will be called steel-bronze-mettalic here .
We are also getting new wheel-caps and the 2. highest trim level will have rain sensors as standard .
Still no sun roof,for what stupid reason ever !?
As for the Prime there hasn't been any announcements up to now .
I don't really care anymore if it has 4 or 5 seats,but what I would really like to see is an improvement of the boot which is probably highly unlikely to happen !
