    …well earlier today I was returning home, I happened across a Prime (MA plates, very pretty in a sort of pale grey/silver paint scheme), on I-93 as I was heading north from BeanTown to New Hamster. I think it must have been fairly standard (looked like 15" wheels) and the wavy rear-window was a dead giveaway, but as I looked at it I was reminded of the device my old Mum used to fit into the food grinder which she fastened to the kitchen table and operated with a handle when I was a kid! (I guess it was all those angles, sharp edges, and pointy bits!) - oh well! o_O;)

    I think the Prime looks fabulous. An improvement over the Prius. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder

    :}

    When I first saw the Prime, it made me think of several Chrysler models from the 1950s - not in any specific design characteristics, but in how I thought they looked bad when they were new, looked worse after a few years, and still don't look good decades later. The Prime has features that make up for its looks, but I think expecting the appearance to grow on you is wishful thinking.

    Of the various Prii, I like gen 3 best for looks alone. But looks is not what brought me to a Prime.

    I only say that because it has for me, but as you point out, we have yet to see how that look ages. I notice that many Japanese cars, at least, have taken to this rather harsh angular styling (video arcade styling), as opposed to my preferred classically smooth and curvy styling. Time will tell. In the meantime all the terrific features, efficiency, and reliability, easily cancel out any awkwardness I feel with the design.

    Well, when it comes to styling, I really think it doesn't get any better than this (late 1950s, did Jag or Ferrari come up with the original?) : Jaguar’s E-type Zero is the most beautiful electric car yet - The Verge ;)

    My first thought was this mouli grater. The double bubble window reminded me of the food bin. sad thing is, I still have one somewhere...

    Totally agree; one of my all-time favorites! How about the Ferrari Dino 246GTS, to honor his son!! A touching and beautiful little car!!

    Very nice, but (IMNSHO) not as sweet as the 1968 Dino 206 GT, although when you start talking about prancing horses, the 250 GTO has to be one of the prettiest! ;)
