i am interested in a front mounted parking camera for my lowered 2016 Prius four. Parking blocks and curbs are hard to see from the driver's seat.
Does anyone have any experience and/or recommendations?

I have experience of overruning the kerb with mine without letter suspension, but I guess that's not what you're asking for.

Would a backup camera work? Just mount it in the front instead of the rear and wire it in.

It may not be a simple fix, but I know tricycle undercarriage airplanes used to have a small trigger under the tail connected to an electrical switch. Closing the circuit caused a light in the cockpit to come on if they over-rotated on take off ie got the tail near to impact with the runway.

I saw a video with Beat Sonic using something like you're describing. I think it was on YouTube but a Tundra though. Did a quick search and found this Beat-Sonic CS6EP Toyota Front Camera Interface says Toyota interface .
    Hopefully this helps

Thanks, they do offer a hardware device that supports a front mounted camera. I have received a quote from them and an installer that they recommended. Unfortunately, this elegant solution is cost prohibitive...

But do they have a trigger alert?

I think all vehicles should have a camera on the front. A very simple solution to an aggravating parking problem. Toyota could easily (and should have) installed a camera on the front bumper, similar to the one in the rear.

I learned the first week that this little Disneyland car is just too low. And you lowered yours even more? The bottom front facia on my car is all scraped up. Now I always park in the middle of the lot and avoid all blocks and curbs. Or many times I will back into the parking space. But can't do much about the driveways and dips that it always scrapes on.

When my annual Disneyland pass expires, I'm selling this car and buying a Chevy Silverado truck. :D

Ok, but how do you know of you're close enough? Is there an indication in the car somehow?

I am thinking that it would work like the rear camera with a "grid" that allows one to know how close to the curb one gets...

I think the unicorn horn curb feeler is an idea ahead of it's time...
