Odd noise trying to figure out...

    By the way they still have it
    The service guy working on it worked all day and didn't finish. Apparently has 30 years experience but has never done an accumulator before.
    Today service advisor calls to say that he finished it, took it for a test drive, and the hybrid warning light came on.
    Looked at it again, went back out and threw light again
    Apparently the Prius master tech is out till Monday so they asked to keep it till then so he could look at it
    I'll be curious to know what it was

    I imagine something was assembled incorrectly

    my service advisor wanted me to pay for a brake fluid flush for $129.. I said if they are working on the brakes they have to change the fluid as part of the repair... his reply was OH I just look at the miles and suggest what the computer tells me too....

    they had my car a day and a half for a 4 hour job (according to them when I dropped it off) ..
    ill bet they forgot to clear the codes or something simple.. I would have requested a loaner car since its more then 2 days

    I got it back finally

    The Prius specialist thought a connector got some water in it or something

    I've put a couple hundred miles on it and all is good

    Last year the local dealer replaced the ComboMeter on my 2009 Gen II (see threads passim) and since there was no speedometer display, they told me it was a safety issue, and so they loaned me a brand new Camry (for the nearly 3 weeks it took them to get the replacement part! :eek:) Brakes sure sound like a safety issue to me!!!:rolleyes: - Good luck!

    had it back a few weeks so far so good.. my combo meter goes blank once a week but im out of the free fix period so I just disconnect the negative battery cable.. thinking about putting an inline switch so I don't have to remove the bolt.. I can live with it until I find one in the salvage yard.
