Those of you who have gone over the 5000 mile mark with your Prime...do you get a notice that service is required? I use to on my 2011 Prius. Does it do that on the Prime or does it not show up until 10,000 miles?

The Gen 4 shows up for 5000 miles but that is just for checks & tire rotation. 10K is for oil & filter. I expect the Prime would be the same.

Well, I am 400 miles from 5000 and nothing has shown up yet. (Today is my 5 month anniversary with my car).

yup, you do ... i think it is like 50 miles prior, it starts with a notice that automatically goes away and when you hit 5k or 10k or reset + 5k you have to press a button ... i will get this next week, will be due for 10k ...

With the Gen3, we knew how to reset this nag screen ourselves (for the 5K oil interval). Anyone know yet how this can be done on the Prime?

Thanks, Primeguy. In another 3K miles, I'll take a stab at resetting the nag message.

I've made it through about 7% of the main manual and 0% of all the other supplements. It is going to take years.

Canadian Prius don't have the warning, maintenance still gets done, we muddle through.

I actually LIKE the Honda Maintenance Minder system: more advanced: counts down percent to next service, and from 15% downward displays a code, which you can reference in the Owner's Manual, explaining specifically what needs doing.

Also, it's not just a dumb mileage counter: the arrival at zero percent varies, with different driving conditions style, trip length, ambient temps. I'm not sure what all, and I don't believe Honda publishes what's involved.

Thank you. Now I don't have to look up the manual when the time comes. ;)

@Prodigyplace have patience with @priuschat, when you respond to or post here the post goes through even though your browser is hanging up, I just hit refresh and then find my post, that way you won't be posting twice or three times or more:D
