Hey now, I resemble that comment!! The Escargot's car Does go (though slow)!! Alzheimerically challenged, but crazy??! Yewee refuses to be embroiled in all this controversy; I think she's planning a run for political office and wishes to keep a low profile at this time!

I started out 21miles on GOM, after 13 days of driving (of which only 5 days of regular commute rout), I am starting to see above 30 miles on GOM regularly. However, I have not yet be able to complete my round trip of commuting of 36 miles total on full charge. Only few more month to try before it gets cold.

I'm actually surprised (and maybe not) to get this range now that I am not charging at work anymore (I use $94/100 of the charge point card) ... on the now 104 mile roundtrip commute (I moved 2 miles further away from work) I am more conscious when to use EV and have been rather successful to get home in the evenings at 0.1 - 1.5 miles range remaining ... I will post some more thoughts later

Today for the first time my car showed that I had a 40+ mile range on EV. It has been going up a little bit all the time since I have had it

When people get more than 30 miles ranges on GOM, are you really able to drive that distance? I started out my GOM showing 22 miles EV range, and over last 2 weeks it has slowly creeping up now to consistently 30-32 miles. However, when I actually measure the distance driven by EV for my daily commute (18 miles each way, 36 miles total), I am not getting over 30 miles of EV range. It's more like 26-27 miles. Does GOM over-estimate your ability to conserve kWh?

Under, for me. About 10%. It is currently estimating about 27 miles but I'm actually getting about 30.

It'll guess way, way over if you're mixing Hv mode and Ev mode when you're using Hv for the hard stuff (fast, climbing) and Ev for the easy stuff (slow, descending).

I have had my PRIME set at EV AUTO ever since I first drove off the dealership. My current daily driving is 100% EV until the battery depletes, then the car switch to EV automatically. I have not had any situation during my routine commute EV AUTO kicked me out of EV to switch to HV except when the battery deplete. But the car still overestimate the EV range. I wonder why?

Don't know - Ev Auto is the one mode I've never used, and never plan to.

Too many double negatives for me.

I don't use any of the Mode buttons. I tried them out and decided they were a gimmick. My car starts out in EV after charging and stays there until the battery is depleted or I get home -- whichever comes first ;-)

more update re my earlier post as i paid attention today and also took some pics (attached if you want to look at the numbers for yourself, no charging at work:
    1. started off with EV range showing 45.6
    2. arriving at work with 26.6 EV remaining, total distance 51.8, EV ratio 60% (suggesting 31 non ICE miles), 100.2mpg, 14.3 mil/kWh, avg speed 51mph
    3. arriving home with 2.4 EV (need to improve), total distance 52.1, EV ratio 51% (26.5 non ICE miles), 79.4mpg, 10.5 mil/kWh for the day, avg speed 49mph
tank avg after 2 days of commute is at ~85mpg (no pic)

I'm pretty happy that ICE is only needed for < 50% roundtrip, while I get 57.5 non ICE miles I don't consider them "EV", but that is not my goal anyway. I am trying to find the most economical way for my commute, and after charging at work for ~ 3 months this is my 2nd datapoint. More things to try out ...
