    Good morning my hybrid folks

    I have a 2006 Toyota Prius with 166 miles
It has been now three days that my alarm sets off for no reason . Actually my car does not have an alarm ( that's what Toyota dealership said ), I guess it is the panic alarm . It sets off usually early morning for no reason and my headlights lights start flashing and my neighbors are frustrated

1- I have put a new battery into my fob key and
    The problem is still there

Today , I had my horn disconnected and I have to wait until the next morning to see if it works but if it does work then I'll be driving without a horn lol

Anyone can shed some light on this problem , I would highly appreciated

The device is fairly simple just plug in underneath your steering wheel and you can monitor your car functions in the app on your phone such as battery status , car issues , geofencing and so on .. its 10$ a month for this service

amazing, i gotta look into that. check it after the car has been off overnight, but maybe it's actually a malfunctioning alarm.
    is it aftermarket, or oem?

Other phone companies have this service as well I believe , atnt n Verizon ... it could be the malfunctioning alarm .. It is OEM , in that case I might to reprogram my whole system again

you can try disconnecting the 12v negative for awhile, sometimes that will reset computers.

Like other "battery testers", I doubt that you can really trust the results you are seeing with that one.

The "panic" button on the FOB will do that.......if pushed by accident.
If the car is locked, a faulty sensor falsely reporting a door being opened can do it too.

If your Toyota shop had any competent mechanics, they would know what to look for and check.

The one thing I know that will set off the alarm is the panic button itself, on the fob. Maybe somehow it's shorting out? Switch to the other fob for a few days, see what that does?

I would be skeptical of the 12v battery whatever the dongle has to say.
