Toyotas corporate phone support number is (800) 331-4331. Call and let them know what you think. Maybe if enough people feel strongly enough about an issue, we can have a slight influence toward change. I spent and hour and 45 minutes yesterday on the phone discussing my 2 issues, intermittent entune audio apps, and the removal of LKA from the Prime lineup.
The first guy I talked to tried to tell me that Pandora audio actually used Sirius XM data to deliver the audio, when I asked why if I was out of cellular range I had no entune audio, and my phone showed data usage for audio, he got very quiet. So, sometimes who you speak to matters. Don't let them BS you.
They could have been blowing smoke, but they thanked me and said my comments would be forwarded to the entities involved.
I urge everyone to take the time to make a call and express your concerns. While there are absolutely no guarantees, it makes more sense than posting here where you are mostly just preaching to the choir.

And you won't have it if you go abroad (US car into Canada or Canadian car into US) unless you have an international or a roaming data plan.

ScoutGPS (called Connected Navigation in Toyota speak) is standard on lower models. Native navigation (called Integrated Navigation) is available in mid-range/high-range models as an upgrade and standard on top end V6 models.

It's standard equipment so it's already rolled into the base MSRP.

Well, ScoutGPS is the only option for all the Camry Hybrids even the XLE.

Well that scratches out the Camry for me... (or maybe I'll just live without built-in nav lol).

When my son got his 2015 Prius v he needed to get nav in order to get the other options he wanted. He tried the built-in nav early on but quickly went back to using his Garmin.

Toyota's navigation software is pretty lame compared to dedicated (Garmin) or smartphone (Google Maps, iOS Maps) - have it in my 2011 Prius and our 2015 Highlander - always use our phones instead. As an "owner in waiting" I have another request for 2018 (really probably the 2019-2020 body design change) - ditch the wavy rear glass hatch. I saw a report that the carbon fiber hatch alone is a $3400 repair, NOT including the glass. Better not back into any lamp posts in the parking lot (experience talking).

Did anybody say show the tire Temp and Pressure from the TPMS monitors on a screen?
Many cars including other Toyotas do this.

I am late on this but you should move to Virginia

I haven't seen it mentioned, but I agree. Even a Camry shows the actual psi. I have no clue why such a tech based car wouldn't show it.

Remember that a Prius Prime is not a luxury car, it's more of a cost-effective mid-size car, designed for efficiency and fuel economy, rather than having all the luxury tech features. But yes, I kind get your point that a Prime Advanced could have this feature (and maybe LKAS like the Civic, but don't get me started on that).

    A Camry isn't a luxury vehicle either. :)

Anyway, I think a Prime Advanced should fit into the luxury tech features category..

The only real tech luxury features in the Advanced that I don't see much else in this cost-category are things like:
    - HUD
    - automatic parking
    - huge Tesla like screen (!)
    - detailed feedback on driving (the car scores you!), efficiencies, mpg, etc - the car is almost like a video game ;-)

But it weirdly lacks routine tech features such as:
    - dynamic range guidelines in the camera for backing up
    - LKAS (even Honda Civic has this!)
    - Android Auto/Apple CarPlay
    - weird oddities like, why not be able to use the total screen size for backing up camera?

Also, why not have an option of a sunroof? or an extra wiper at the back, or even the extra 5th seat - yes, it will reduce fuel economy, but it could be an option for those that love the car and the driving modes, but are not just about saving fuel...

    Good point!

And older Prii had it too. My 2010 did.

I don't think Toota does carplay or android auto on any of their cars, even the pure luxury ones. (why is another question!)

It could be done, but they'd need a better camera for it. It's kind of difficult to change aspect without distortion though, so I'm not sure it'd be worth it.

I love my TomTom (would've been 3 years old when I picked up my 2010) but I like the 7" screen more than my 3.5" TomTom. I learned to work around it. I still use both. (Used my TomTom with itinerary feature for this year's summer road trip with a rental car instead of google maps).

Yes but CF doesn't dent so you have to back up pretty hard to crack it.

I was the same way with my older 4.3" Garmins. When they came out with the 7" Nuvi, I jumped and have loved it for years now.

Even my son's 2007 Highlander Hybrid has individual PSI readouts. Ten years old, and hardly a luxury vehicle.

Turns out in Canada, the XLE Hybrid has embedded navigation with Destination Assist. LE/SE Hybrids get ScoutGPS.

On the flip side, only the XLE V6 gets embedded navigation. Everything else including XSE V6 gets ScoutGPS on the regular gas models in Canada. That's different from the US I believe.

Brand new Prime owner here - we got ours two days ago, after someone totaled our 2005, 211,000-mile Prius. So, still trying to figure everything out. But, so far - add Apple CarPlay! Yes, we knew it didn't have it. Still annoying.

And add extenders to the sun visors! Good grief - how basic is that?? Yes, I've ordered some ugly ones from Amazon. But it's gravy they haven't fixed this.

I'd also love to see - unless it exists and we haven't found it yet - a driver 1 / driver 2 option like we have on our old Sienna. Especially for seat positions, but it would be nice if it included all preferences, including which
    Phone to connect.

Good suggestions... None of these features are confirmed as coming any time soon... looks like the 2018 model will have ZERO changes:(
