Mine are 823. Really hoping that's production number because that means I have a prime prime. iPhone ?
Last 4 digits 0613, picked up the vehicle November 8th. Most likely the first Prime sold in the United States
0230 sold in Mass, in Nov. it looks. 0140 is out there somewhere, lowest found so far on the internet. Jim Coleman Toyota has 0464 on the lot and many now in the 5200 range. Passport has 0503.
Welcome aboard. Not a Premium model but you know that. Toyota Prius ( $34,733 ) $0/mo trim Premium mileage 5 exterior Blizzard Pearl interior Black location Richmond, VA vin xxxxxxxxxxx002007 McGeorge Toyota
Lucky me! I got #995! ... 3000995 I got mine on 11/10 right around the time when the first Primes started to show up in the dealerships around here. I got the first Prime that City Toyota got. Came in on the 2nd day after it was delivered and the sales people claimed that I was the first test driver and none of them got to check it out yet. 4 hours after I test drove it, I was loading old stuff from my van into this baby and many sales people were staring at the car.
Reviving this thread. I just got my VIN from the dealer! It's JTDKARFP2H128C157 He told me that Toyota has started throwing letters into the last numbers.
I'm jealous. Ordered mine June 30 and arrival is expected Oct/Nov. I don't think it hits the dealer stats until late August.
Hmm interesting H=2017 1= wrong plant unless they make them in 2 places now. Should be a 3. serial #'s only into the 030000 range now VIN has invalid check digit (9th character). Make sure it is spelled correctly! (check digit = 3, found = 2)
I asked him to double-check the VIN, wondering about the "C" and he said he double-checked. I'll know for sure when I get the car.
No provision in the law for letters in the last 6 digits of the VIN that I I have found. For VIN verification/calculation purposes they need to be numbers. The 2017 and 2018 Vehicle Identification Number Coding System letters from Toyota to the NHTSA for the Prius HB and Prime are not in the online database. I made an inquiry to the NHTSA about this and requested copies of both. Next week maybe? I see the 2018 Rav4hv and Lexus NX hv but no plug-in options for either. 2018 Yaris made in and imported from France? "May 8, 2017 Dear Sir / Madam, Tesla intends to begin regular production of a new car line, the Model 3, starting July 2017. Model 3 will be released into commerce as a MY2017 vehicle..."
My initial VIN, when it went into production, ended up not being my real VIN. As it shipped (literally placed on the ship) we received an updated VIN, and that one stuck all the way to yesterday when I picked up the new toy. Driving at midnight in EV-only mode on local roads with laser-like powerful headlights and hearing nothing but electric motor hum and tire noise with the windows "rolled" down at 70 degrees is just an awesome experience. Oh, and to keep this on-topic, my last six-digits indicate there have been more than 30,000 produced so far. My last 4 numbers are, in fact, a prime number. But the full six-digit sequence is not a prime number.
Only an EV or hybrid driver can truly appreciate this level of zen perfection. Well, if allowed to qualify the numbers, then jburke's last one digit is prime.
