Heater/AC won't turn on

    New member, ... 2014 Prius C (approx 31K mi). After parked in 95 deg heat, AC/heater would not turn on. Hitting AC button only caused info to appear briefly on screen, but no AC/heater operation. Let car sit overnight, repeated, same results. AC/heater had been functioning fine up to this point. All comments welcome.

    OK, just took a fifth look at the control buttons & noticed that the OFF button had become jammed. Augh. Thx DonDNH for reply, ...

    i have a sticky fan speed switch. this didn't used to happen to toyota's. glad you found it!

    I was going to suggest you check this as soon as I saw the thread title. It seems to be an issue that catches a fair number of people, myself included.

    Yes it's a common problem.......with ALL of the climate control buttons.
    You'd think that they would have fixed that by now.

    My new '17 hasn't done it.....yet.
    If it does, I think a tiny drop of silicone lube will be applied.
