Needed a second commuter car. Picked up 2012 Prius Two and couldn't be any happier. It has 48k miles and drives like a champ. Damn good car! Going to install backup camera and wheelskins blue leather wheel cover this weekend. Exciting times ahead!
Just traded my 2012 Prius C in Blue Streak for 2017 Three Touring. My wife also drives a 2013 Lift back Pkg 2. I have already stripped the badges and tinted the windows.
I picked up a 2013 Prius trim 4 with the solar roof package about 2 months ago. She works great and I average about 53mpg when tracking with my app. I had a beater 94 Honda Accord but after being stolen three times I gave up. This is my 3rd Toyota. Had a 2013 Highlander, traded in, and now have a 2016 4runner also.
View attachment 130306 Hey guys I am new to the hybrid world. Bought my 2012 prius 3 w/solar roof package about two weeks ago and love this thing. Has plenty of pep to get around town and the mpg is crazy to me I'm in as so I'm using the a/c a little more and more each day and watching the battery go down then up slowly but I confirmed with toyomotors (hybrid shop in town) that it's totally normal. These pictures are my car that I cleaned up with chemical guys v36,v38 then jet sealed it and the car looks brand new.
We're you able to get the texting to work? I checked mine. Click on PHONE and then messaging settings. Hope it works for you.
This is my new to me 2013 cx, a japenese import. My first Pruis. I'm impressed so far although I've only driven it about 150 km. Managed to change the sat nav voice to English and cancel a route that's had it talking to me since I got it. My only worry, it's more of a concern, is that the little green battery on the dashboard hasn't completely filled even though I've done highway and town trips, it's probably normal, not sure without a manual.
Welcome. What is the US equivalent of the Prius cx? Is it a Prius c or a Prius Liftback? There are links online to the US manuals which could be of some assistance.
Welcome. It's hard to tell from that angle, but I think the body looks like a US Prius c. As for the battery indicator, unless there's something radically different in Japanese Prius designs, it would be pretty rare for all the bars to be lit. The computer works to keep it at around 3/4 of the indicated full (which isn't really full -- more on that in other threads). If it needs to borrow battery power, it puts it back later. If it needs to store energy from braking or coasting, it uses it later to take load off the gas engine (ICE). I'm glad you got that nav system silenced. You might mention that in your other post about it. Hope this helps.
That's a great suggestion. By the look of the photo I'd say that's what's branded as the PriusV in the US market. Here's where Toyota keeps the manuals for the 2013 PriusV. 2013 Toyota Prius V Owners Manual and Warranty - Toyota Owners Welcome to the Prius club @Tommy.s.
Thank you Dylan, I've had a pleasant hours read of that. Mine seems to be a fairly basic model judging by the amount of 'extras' it doesn't have, but no harm, my last car had cruise control, in 11 years, I used it twice.
