Possible Monthly install meets. Bay Area-Fremont

Since @Rebound will be doing an egr cooler replacement, it might be worth considering doing the meetup at his place again rather than Lafayette. The job is best performed with engine coolant drained, sonof done at his place, all engine parts will be cool rather than warm.

Any opinions or thoughts since we are getting close to a month out?

 

It's an open invite on this end for whenever the group wants an Eastbay meet up.

I'm thinking... I've been thinking of adding an amplifier. Maybe I'll do that on the 24th, and then no problem doing it at your place because no special tools are needed. And your electrical wizardry could be put to good use.

All I will have this time is a headlight cleanse to remove some fogging.

We used to do thing like this all the time when I had my Scion, mod/maintenance days and things like that. Was always good to get together with other just to share the in person knowledge/experience, so I'm happy to see something that for the Prius group as well

So we're less than a month away until the next meet up June 24th!

@Rebound has decided (I think this time) that the egr cooler and intake manifold he wants to do this meetup, so let's do Fremont. @Pedal Logic still has dibs on the next round, so Smart Pedal HQ in Lafayette will host the next meet after June 24th.

As for attendees and potential jobs:

• @Rebound with the egr system (with videography).
• @mmmodem with his Gen2 and I think it was spark plugs?
• I could do a head light restore, but can also let someone else have the spot
• @SFO do you have anything this round?
• @Pedal Logic , want to commute down together this round and do you have anything you'd like to do on the v or your 2010?
• Others?
• Other jobs?

Last round was fun and there was plenty of participation from everyone!

We'll have some good food this round to maybe entice more to participate .

 

Ack, my parents are out of town that weekend. I'm gonna have to go on the maybe list again until I find a babysitter.

You're welcome to bring the kid and hang out, maybe do a little light video recording if the situation allows.

 

Bring the baby @mmmodem -little ones have simple maintenance steps.

Generally just one or more of:

1. Feed me
2. Burp me
3. Change me

When squawking starts/continues, look into repeating one of the above steps.

If repeating steps without result: try exposing the baby to the outdoors/nature.

 

We have a small playground a block away, and of course you can bring the baby inside the house for a nap, feeding, and whatever.

 

Yeah, I saw the playground nearby when a couple of us went house hunting after you went to pick up your kids. There were two open houses within walking distance. Not that we could afford anything, but it was fun to window shop.

 

I ordered an LED video light so we can take clear videos. If you come, maybe we can give you the no-dirty-hands task of manning the video camera and adjusting the light when needed. Once my hands are dirty, I don't want to touch my camera gear.
