WOW... and CONGRATS! If I have THAT kind of luck, I *might* have my Premium JUST in time for a planned road-trip down to NC / SC / GA and back! (I'll be joining an old HS buddy of mine to take in the total solar eclipse toward the end of August.)
Well ya never know what's going to happen when you order a new car. I stopped in to my dealer today for an oil change for the Gen3. While I was waiting I enquired if my Prime was still on track for the 4 months. It wasn't. It will probably be 3-4 weeks earlier than expected. I'd better get the electrician over real soon to put in that 240v line!
My dealer surprised me at 7pm one night...it was about a week early...I ran to pick it up immediately. Having a 240v installed Monday. I have over 350 miles on it and haven't budged the gass gauge off Full!. Your gonna love this car.
Hmmm... 3 to 4 weeks *earlier*... LUCKY YOU! I guess I'm just gonna' hav'ta keep my stubby, Dwarf-like fingers crossed!
Lucky you! Long time lurker here but finally joined . We ordered our Prime Advanced (Blue Magnetism; Black) on March 25 from a dealer here in Pittsburgh with a good reputation and were told 6 to 8 weeks (maybe sooner). Well today marks 8 weeks and this past Monday were told it was allocated and is being built but don't have a ship date till it's pretty much ready to leave (consistent with what we've seen on here). We are so excited and keep torturing ourselves with YouTube videos learning as much as we can and also learning from you all! Can't wait to get behind the wheel of the Prime!
I'm glad to hear you're getting your cars in reasonable time. If our 2010 were still running I'd have been happy to wait four months. We just about finished a deal on a 2017 Prius 3 that's at our dealer's other store in Kentucky. It'll arrive Tuesday, then go to the shop for custom leather and add-ons. We'll likely take delivery next Saturday! Toyota of Muncie rocks! Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I had an ad for a locally available Prime come up in my Facebook feed. Maybe dealers are finally getting some in.
I hope so. Our dealer was able to find a total of four Primes within 300 miles of Muncie, all spoken for. That's crazy. My 3 is here in my garage. I'm enjoying playing with all the new features. We'll take it back later this week for its aftermarket leather. Got over 60mpg in 40 miles of gentle in-town driving... we'll see what happens on my interstate commute later this week! I got an e-mail to the same effect from some on-line auto trader site... Prime Premium (which is what I'd prefer), Silver ext / Black int (I want the Blue / Moonstone)... AND it was in Milwaukee... 235 miles from here AND gotta' drive RIGHT by Chicago (or go about 120 additional miles) to get there.... STILL, the fact that SOME dealerships relatively close to us are starting to get a FEW in IS encouraging. I might have to end up visiting my brother in up-state NY to go "shopping"... the last time I checked - about two weeks ago - there were ELEVEN to chose from within about 75 miles of his house... including *two* of the Premium / Blue / Moonstone variety!
Yep... very similar Prime issues here in Lafayette! (See my post above.) But at least you seem very pleased with your Three! I'll be interested to see your interstate / commute results....
I don't know about Carguru but it can't be any more reliable than Toyota's inventory database. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
No kidding, Analogkid1958! I'm still pissed off at Toyota for having stated (in numerous reports, articles and so on six / eight / ten months ago) that Primes would be available throughout the US!
So just last night I was saying that I hadn't heard anything from my sales rep for about three weeks... that he hadn't returned my calls or replied to my e-mails. But now I have heard from him - via FaceBook - and, in part, this is what he said: I finally heard word about your Prius and they are going to assign it to our allocation mid June. The allocation is how they assign vehicles to our dealership. It should be somewhere in that time [mid June] as far as being built. So... would anybody who was "suffering" from the Midwest Availability Blues (who has taken delivery of their Prime) / does anybody who has been following this discussion care to "translate" what he said... what it COULD mean as far as how much longer it MIGHT be before it arrives at the dealership? Did any of you receive a similar "notification" or "update" at some time? And IF so, how much longer was it before you had YOUR Prime? (I know that "time frames" in this regard would vary state-by-state / dealership by dealership... I'm just looking for "ball park" answers or generalities in response to my questions. Thanks....)
Hey I'm in the Pittsburgh area. See if you see mine floating around the parkway traffic around 4:15pm throughout the week. I also got the blue magnetism;white. What dealership did you go through? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
We ordered from Rohrich. The latest word is that it will be here mid-June, maybe sooner. Very excited about getting the Prime. Do you travel east or west on the parkway traffic? We're on the east side of town. The blue magnetism we saw was just off the parkway near Churchill.
They finally have one in Kankakee, IL. Blue premium with black interior. New Toyota Prius Prime 5 Dr Hatchback for Sale
