The Prius 2 Eco apparently is spec'd with the lightweight cargo cover. Mine didn't have one (or the all weather floor mats listed on the window sticker for some reason). So, the dealer ordered the mats and cargo cover. I picked them up today and my car interior doesn't have the mounting points for the cover- just has the trim for the standard roll-up cover.

Do the mounting points for the cargo cover come separately for dealer installation, or is the interior trim incorrect on the car? Here are some pics:

    Thanks for your help!

A 2017 Prius Two Eco actually no longer comes with a lightweight tonneau cover.

The 7 columns are: One, Two, Two Eco, Three, Three Touring, Four, Four Touring.

    upload_2017-5-19_12-26-49.png

You can see in the 3rd column where the Prius Two Eco is has a dash for both covers.

The mounting points were built with the car. The easiest to retrofit would be the roller-type tonneau cover since the cut outs are there (as you've photographed). The lightweight tonneau cover would require the additional T hooks (2nd and 4th photo) as well as small metal hooks around the door frame.

Holy that's a pricey tonneau cover (and then another eye opener when I saw the original price).

I'll admit, I didn't know there were two different types of plastic door (hatch) frame covers - with and without the small metal hooks. I just assumed all came with it. The T hooks are easy to install/remove so I can see having two sets of enclaves/cut outs.

Yeah, it kinda grates when the Eco is also about $500 higher list price.

Oh man, have to wait 97 seconds.... Guess I'll rant while waiting, lol: Is that rule in any way helpful? (n)

Still have to wait 30 seconds...

    9 seconds...

    Finally.

Purchased 2017 Two Eco this week. Loving the car thus far, though the lack of tonneau cover (and possibly some clips for cargo nets in back?) is kind of annoying. With my previous 2 Prii I felt the tonneau cover was nice just to hide stuff from prying eyes. If the above link (roller-type) is option that actually works, I guess that's something, but price is a bit steep really. Wonder why they chose to alter Two Eco for 2017 year.

Found this image online of what is to be a 2017 Two Eco, and looking in the back of my car, I'm not seeing where the net could attach (clips aren't there on my vehicle). I see the 4 round metal "eyelets," but nothing in the vicinity of whatever is holding this net up.

    Eh...

The hooks for the cargo net should come with the net if you purchased it separately (if it wasn't built into the car).

The 2017 Two Eco doesn't come with a tonneau cover (only the 2016 models)

It doesn't come with the same flexible cover as the Trim Two? Strange

For 2017, (US) 2Eco level only, comes with no hatch cover? Neither type? Strange marketing move. (n)

Yeah they removed it for 2017. do not know why. Save cost? Save weight? (Technically true on both fronts however small lol).

The last one might be true - It's to offset the weight of TSS-P to keep it within the weight range for the mpg rating.

What was removed when TSS-Plus was added for 2017.5?

Hatch cover, aka tonneau cover, if I'm understanding. Still a little incredulous: it seems a cavalier deduction.

The lack of a cargo cover is really quite ridiculous (impossible to say cover reduces coefficient of drag, or weighs enough to make any sort of difference). Though, nearly 1 week in to ownership of 2017 Two Eco, I'm quite happy with the vehicle. 230 miles on first tank (car had 11 miles on it when I drove off lot) it's reading 68.5 mpg. I'm expecting something closer to high 50s/low 60s after my first fill up/paper computation, but regardless, I'm OK with that. :)

I know, I had the same problem, 2017 model did not come with mounting hook for the rope, so I'm stocked also. I guess need to get a roller type.

Do you have part # for the two metal hooks?

Cheap shot, but it's on my mind: maybe ECO means "economy"?
